“As we were reminded at the end of our meal, this was our 16th time to dine at Atchafalaya. So the bar has been set very high over the years. Our 16th had to rank up with all of our best! Heather Dawn's (HD) service was perfect. Never intrusive, great suggestions, terrific banter- totally spot on! Our choices for apps and dinner were excellent, it's amazing that the quality has never declined at all. The support staff was always there right on time to do whatever was appropriate. The other thing that amazes me is that whenever we dine, the staff always recognizes that we are returning customers. I've NEVER experienced this at any of our finer dining spots. Only at our local hangouts. All in all, another fantastic evening at Atchafalaya! Thanks so much!!!!!!!”

We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. “This raw oyster bar and cocktail lounge is located on the side of Jackosn Square. It was super chill! I like the fact that they had and circular shaped bar. The service was GREAT! Our bartender name was Eddie! Eddie had a great personality, he made drinks off menu, he even gave me suggestions. I had the Mexican Firing Squad. My friend had two Sazerac. It was not crowded at all. We enjoyed ourselves!!! We didn’t really find anything on the menu as far as food really appetizing. The 5’s is a raw oyster bar…the menu had other food choices (limited menu).”

“IMO its a keeper and a great addition to the rotation. Great ambience. I vacillated on what to order and a last minute switch from the lobster black gnocchi to the veal chop was a good move. Started with the blue crab beignets and a martini (for me) then the veal chop which was delicious and perfectly prepared. For desert I had the creme brûlée bread pudding and espresso. My part of the bill was $125 and it was money well spent.”

“We stopped at Bacchanal to enjoy some live music and wine. The layout of this wine bar is very unique. There is a wine store and custom charcuterie downstairs with wine by the glass, cocktails, and indoor seating upstairs. We had a few of their wines by the glass as well as their charcuterie. I thought it was incredibly well priced and we loved their selection and the preparation. Being able to pick our cheeses was such a plus. Highly recommend it for a great place to chat with company!

Wheelchair accessibility: As the bulk of this winery is outdoors, some users may have trouble traversing the mud or rocks. Bathrooms were ADA accessible!”

“Booked BABs on a whim as part of a quick getaway to NOLA. Was not disappointed! Creative mocktail and cocktail menu. Wonderful beer and wine list. Appetizers were heavenly and exquisite. Entrees were fresh and delicious, while being new takes on American cuisine. Staff was eager to please while not being snide or fake. Opinions were honest and questions were thoroughly answered. We're very guarded of our New Orleans meals when we visit. I won't hesitate to book Bywater American Bistro on our next trip!”

“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. Unfortunately after I left, in the rain, slip sliding over to Bourbon St. I eventually slipped my best slip and fractured my fibula, skinned my knees and scabbed up my forehead. I’m paying for it now but it was an epic adventure. Love all of you there but I’m gonna give the old liver a break for a while. 10 out of 10 if you’re cool!”

“We went here on a Saturday night without a reservation at the recommendation of a friend since we were just in New Orleans for one night with our kids. We were sat right away and had amazing service with 2 waitstaff and they made great recommendations and we loved all our food! Here is a review of what we got: the alligator was fried in a batter and covered with a sauce that was flavorful without being spicy. the gumbo was hot and fresh with tender meat and rice, the rabbit and dumplings was almost like a pot pie without the crust and very good and filling, the short ribs left something to be desired as they were very peppery and a bit tough and advertised with shrimp and green beans but that was more of a garnish than anything of substance (it is an appetizer so we didn’t expect full portions but it was just a few tiny pieces). Had a drink from the bar that I don’t remember the name of but it was the waiter’s recommendation and very good! Definitely recommend and would go again next time we are in NOLA”

Parking: Very little parking on the street. Most people park in the parking lot down the street”

We loved the food and drinks we had and Tonya was so very nice and pleasant and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. “Learned about the Mosquito Supper Club when, after Hurricane Ida devastated Terrebonne Parish, Ms. Martin started a fun raiser to help the people in Terrebonne Parish that make a living supplying local seafood to the community and beyond. I purchased her first cookbook for myself and family. And finally, last Friday night, June 21, I made it to the Supper Club. I was joined by my wife, my oldest daughter and her husband, and our best friends for an amazing dinner. Service was above excellent. Every course was expertly prepared and made with local seafood. As every course was brought to the table, we all were commenting on excellent marriage of tastes making this one of the best dining experiences ever. If you are looking for fine China, linen table cloths, and crystal chandeliers , this probably is not the restaraunt for you. But if you are looking for local, fresh seafood prepared according to past down recipes from Terrebonne Parish, if you are looking for great food , this is a must !”

“This is a wonderfully comfortable, friendly Vietnamese restaurant in the Lower Garden. It also happens to have what I think is the absolute best pho ga in town. I have never had better chicken broth. The portions on everything are very generous as well. We are always welcomed warmly and they even know our "regular" order. I almost always get the pho ga, and my husband goes for the beef vermicelli bowl with a side of nem, though he has also had the beef pho. The fresh shrimp spring rolls are really delicious as well. Can't say enough good things about this lovely little spot.”
