“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.”
“Truly one of the best and most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. A wonderful tribute to Senegalese and Creole food. The staff was absolutely incredible — so friendly and knowledgeable. Explained Senegalese transitions and even started the meal with a table side hand wash. They weren’t stuffy either, which can be common at restaurants at this caliber. They really made our experience top notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. All locally sourced and in season ingredients. Will absolutely tell anyone visiting to go to Dakar.”
“Keyshawn was not a friendly server. Tracy was amazing! Food was great. Highly recommend visiting this historic establishment. Please retrain Keshawn to treat ALL customers the same and try to contain her unfriendliness. Overall we did enjoy our experience! A must try!”

“My friend and I had lunch and shared a non vegetarian assorted appetizer plate to start. The samosas were perfection. Light and crispy with generous fillings. Everything on the plate was delicious, but the samosas were the best! Sherwyn was our waiter and took great care of us. I had the vegetarian delight and my friend had the alu saag. We were beyond pleased with our food/service and left full and happy.Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian special and it was amazing. It is so much food I had three meals out of it! The quality of the food is superb.”

“Super place for breakfast. We loved everything we ordered. We had bread pudding pancakes and they were very special and not overly sweet. Poached eggs with pork and shrimps were amazing, as well as shrimp and grits. The service was fast and servers friendly and helpful”
“We had an amazing experience there. It was our first time going and we happened to show up the night of the pop-up for chef Omar from Detroit. Not only was the food delicious, but the cause was even better. I have an immense amount of respect for any establishment that cares about human rights.”

“It’s been a while since we visited Plume, but we have always had SUCH a great experience! The food is delicious - my favs include the fried chicken and the naan. If you can’t eat in, the food travels/delivers very well to your house and is still very yummy!”

“I do not have the words to do this place justice. The interior is lovely and very fitting for the French Quarter but the patio is the best! The food is so delicious that I would be happy to eat every meal there. The attentiveness of the staff was incredible - they know their menu (bar and kitchen) and make great suggestions based on what you like not what they are trying to "move".”

“Bar R’evolution is everything I want in a New Orleans destination: Good food; superior libations; professional staff; and engaging conversation with patrons. Last night’s meal of bone marrow, butter-poached lobster and smoked duck exceeded expectations. The 20-year-old Tawny Port arrived in a huge(!) bottle - my bar mates went wild. Thanks for a great meal.”

“Go!! It’s SO GOOD! Ordered catering the other day and everyone at the party looovvveedddd everything. So many “wow where is this from?!” questions. Even packaged perfectly to keep things crispy. Have been in person too and it’s a cute spot, great for kids and for outdoor beverages. It’s super interesting and tasty, but fulfills the need for perfectly crunchy and juicy chicken and fish bites. (The vegetarian nuggets are also sooo good.) Thanks W+S!!!!”

“One of the best dining experiences my wife and I ever had. It is a true culinary delight that awakens your taste buds. Braiden was an excellent server who takes pride in his work and it shows! Thank you for a wonderful evening.”
“Completely exceptional dining experience. I am so glad we found this little gem. The menu is set daily, based on what is fresh. And it is made to perfection. Our server, Rene, was extremely kind, and engaging. I truly didn’t expect such a good experience, considering the atmosphere - candidly it’s very ~meh~. But I considered that part of its charm. Also, the prices are totally fair and reasonable. Don’t sleep on this place. It’s so so so good.”
“Had the most divine time and the staff was amazing. I got to know the owner's children who are amazing young men. They were very welcoming and informative about the history of the restaurant. Had the red snapper with rice and the veggie tray with injera bread. Gonna use my leftover injera for twist-on crepes in the morning.”
“In desperate need of a low-key quiet atmosphere in New Orleans, this place hit the spot.Quaint, quiet, some chill live music and some decent wine which is a major challenge in NOLO.Not a huge fan of the self-service wine and cheese board but it worked! Nice outdoor patio.”
“We had a sublime experience here, it beautiful night, we sat outside smelling jasmine, great service, great food, great wine and cocktail recommendations, I highly recommend this place!”
“Booked BABs on a whim as part of a quick getaway to NOLA. Was not disappointed! Creative mocktail and cocktail menu. Wonderful beer and wine list. Appetizers were heavenly and exquisite. Entrees were fresh and delicious, while being new takes on American cuisine. Staff was eager to please while not being snide or fake. Opinions were honest and questions were thoroughly answered. We're very guarded of our New Orleans meals when we visit. I won't hesitate to book Bywater American Bistro on our next trip!”
“Delicious food! Must try the black Forrest cake and the gumbo. Be sure to ask the waiter what’s good. To know: the small plates are genuinely small - plan to share. You are going to pay more than the amount of food you get.”

“Visited this place from out of town. Absolutely loved the ambiance. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Felt like we were in a speakeasy- dim lights and beautiful decor. A must visit if you’re in ”
“Had the butter chicken, garlic butter naan and a mango lassi. Everything was wonderful, great flavor and perfectly crisp and airy naan. Lassi was perfect consistency and very refreshing.”
“Food, cocktails & service are all top notch. Recommend sitting at the chef’s counter if you get the chance…it’s a great way to watch the craftsmanship that goes into every dish. We will definitely go back next time we’re in town.”
“According to the hostess, this was originally an old rectory that they renovated and turned into a charming, warm and inviting space with kitschy seating. Upon entering, there is a dining space similar to a front room that leads into a livingroom complete with a fireplace. If you walk down the hallway, there is a curtained dining nook as well as an indoor patio and a lively bar area. They also have a super cute outdoor, open air dining space with plenty of seats. The house made focaccia was very delicious and a must! The oysters were good as they were from the east coast. We really enjoyed the roasted gulf shrimp, but we were not told that the heads would be on nor is it written in the description on the menu; so be prepared. Our main dishes consisted of the chicken under a brick and the daily fish of halibut. Both dishes were delicious! They only have two options for dessert and our chocolate tart did not look like the photo on their website but it was still good. The lavender semifreddo was fire! I couldn't stop eating it!Our waitress did a good job but there were a few things overlooked, like not being cognizant of empty water glasses, letting dishes pile up and not changing out our silverware and plates, however, she was in training, so we didn't say anything. This is definitely a neighborhood gem and not to be missed.”

“We spent some time in the French Quarter and decided to try a couple different spots to find the best sandwich we could. The fried shrimp poboy from Verti Marte blew all of the competition out of the water. The place feels unapologetically authentic, and the staff was friendly enough to give us some recommendations on where to get a good muffuletta sandwich (they were out of the bread) and what their favorite beignet spots were. Overall we highly recommend.”
“Stranger to the neighborhood and found this delightful place to chill and eat! I highly recommend the mushroom and Swiss burger, along with a vodka and cranberry cocktail. The bartender is so welcoming.”
“This is not fancy, this is an epically perfect dive bar. We headed here in NOLA to watch MSU game for the tournament. There were plenty of TVs, comfortable seating, and we sat right at the bar. Bartender was attentive, knowledgeable, and hilarious. Also the drinks are NOT weak! The food was totally perfect, definitely recommend the pizza and the potato skins. We did a lot while in New Orleans but this was one of our fav experiences.”
“One of the best burgers in NOLA. Service is ok, are very eccentric as one might expect. So you're getting what you came for, local characters and a damn good burger! Enjoy!”
“The service here was sooooo slow. Spent 2 hours there but the food was really good! Order the alligator half fried half blackened. SO YUMMY! The shrimp and crawfish pasta comes with sooooo much seafood which is amazing! Shrimp po'boy is okay. Really yummy gumbo!”
“A very nice escape from the Bourbon St madness. This place somehow manages to be a dive bar, and trendy at the same time. It's a friendly, intimate environment, with comfortable lounge furniture tucked away in a few corners, and a beautiful courtyard out back. I know a few other reviews mention the bathrooms, and they are certainly quirky; however, for me it was in more of a made you smile type way. They were extremely dark, only lighted by a pink neon sign. There is no mirror, so don't go in expected to tidy up your appearance. I have to assume these were conscious decisions made by whoever designed/decorated the place. What better way to say we don't care what you look like, and neither should you than to give customers no mirror or light to check their appearance in. There isn't much signage out front, so it'd be easy to miss when the doors are close. They just have a small hanging sign that says something along the lines of "last stop before the tourist traps" which I found to be both clever and true. I wouldn't say the drinks are cheap, but the quality is excellent and they are relatively affordable for what you'd be asked to pay at most any other bar near Bourbon. The bartender was extremely nice, and the drinks were finished quickly. I didn't get to spend nearly as much time here as I would have liked because we had a busy afternoon ahead, but High Grace will certainly top the lists of bars I stop off in next time I'm near the French Quarter.”
“Such good service! Popped in for an appetizer one night then came back for breakfast. Service was good, we got sat quickly & got our food not long after. Next time we'd go for dinner or lunch when we're in New Orleans.”
“It's not a fancy place but they have cheap and cold beverages, great food throughout the day and night and even laundry machines you can use while traveling. I've sent many folks to this bar and they have almost all loved it.”
“If you're into a dive bar vibe, this is the place for you. It actually has a coin operated laundromat in the bar and the bartender will give you a cup of soap. My GF and I did a load of wash and enjoyed some shots and cocktails while we waited. We went there three times in our ten day visit to NOLA simply just to chill and have some cheap drinks.”
“Joann was AMAZING!! Very down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable about NOLA, and made great drinks. We are visiting for the history of the area and to experience some true New Orleans stuff. She gave us so many amazing suggestions and made us feel so welcome. Such a great little bar on the outskirts of the French Quarter. If you want a great bar without all the crazy, drunk chaos of Bourbon Street, I highly recommend The Voodoo Lounge. Though I won’t lie, Joann made our experience!!”
“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.”
“I’ve heard the bartenders are great here and this is the place. I went Monday night, the bartender was ugly af. He knocked over a whole glass of wine on my friend and was unapologetic. Then charge my friend $6 for a Water. He said he was new lol We are service industry, we tip. The disrespect is not okay.”
“We made this place a stop on our celebration of my youngest's 21st birthday pub crawl, and enjoyed our visit and drinks! We went upstairs where we could toss some beads from the balcony and had a great drink and chat with the bartender, who gave us some good ideas on other places to visit. Everyone was friendly, the place felt clean, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you for being part of our evening!”
“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. Unfortunately after I left, in the rain, slip sliding over to Bourbon St. I eventually slipped my best slip and fractured my fibula, skinned my knees and scabbed up my forehead. I’m paying for it now but it was an epic adventure. Love all of you there but I’m gonna give the old liver a break for a while. 10 out of 10 if you’re cool!”

Shaya
“Surprisingly, a fusion that really works is Israeli and Southern food at Shaya. Located along Magazine Street, it's a small restaurant with inviting staff. Booking a reservation on a Monday at noon, our party of four walked in and were served in no time.To feed myself, wife, mother-in-law, and seven-year-old daughter, we ordered the fried chicken hummus, mushroom hummus, pide, and three dips (labneh, beets, and moussaka). We were literally full from noon to the next morning. The pita bread comes out hot unlimited and it's filling!Literally, every dish was great, but I found the sweetness of the date salsa verde and the savory of the aleppo pepper worked well on the fried chicken hummus. (The hummus is so smooth!) My wife and mother-in-law loved the mushroom hummus best.Don't sleep on the drinks. The pomegranate lemon soda was refreshing, Lebanese iced tea sweet, and the mint tea comes with a pitcher of more.If you love good food, go here!”

Takeout Restaurants
“I stopped here on the way home from New Orleans, only 2 miles off I-10, so not really out of the way. We have a long drive, so I selected a steamed char sui bun, Pate Chaud, meat pie, Crawfish pie, coconut macaroons, mochi, and a pineapple bar. Omg, the Crawfish pie! It had so much filling, Crawfish, bamboo shoots, scallions, and seasonings I'm not sure of, but it was very spicy and delicious! I'm trying to find a recipe for it in my Vietnamese cooking group, because Google turned up nothing. The Pate Chaud was delicious too, but not as much filling as I wanted. The coconut macaroons were amazing, and surprisingly made without sweetened condensed milk, but you would never know that except for the ingredient list. The pineapple bar was not too sweet, as it looked, perfect for me. The mochi were delicious, with the all familiar chew. Have two more pies to sample, but I have no doubt they will be delicious too!”
“Outstanding food! Probably the best jerk chicken I've had! Service was okay - could've refilled waters and they didn't get me a receipt, but the owner came and talked and was great. A little generic in the atmosphere, but not bad. Overall would go again, for sure.”
“Amazing food. Trendy vibes, great lunch spot, full bar, dog friendly patio. Restaurant partners with a local farm to source their meat. We always make it a point to stop here on our annual trip and stock up on charcuterie to bring home.”
“We were welcomed even we made it nick of time before closing. We ordered Special Fried Oysters, Shrimps & Beignet and Sandwich/Soup (Shrimp Po'Boy and Gumbo). Blue Hurricanes! Did not disappoint. Cozy interior dining!”
“Been meaning to write this review for a while. Was just daydreaming about Manolito and rememvered to write this.Visited in January and had an absolutely incredible time. This was kind of the crowning jewel of our trip to New Orleans. A lot of lackluster experiences down there but Manolito truly was a masterpiece. Small bar, historical atmosphere, very traditional cocktails (haven’t seen thrown cocktails in a while), incredible food, and a great bartender. Best bar experience we had while in town. Will definitely make it a point to stop back by. Hope they get the expansion the bartender was describing to us.P.s. - We have had MANY croquettes in our time and the ones here were among the best we’ve ever had.”
“My friend and I experienced the Chloe for lunch last week 10/12/23 and it was absolutely the best lunch from start to end I have ever had. The goat cheese, pepper and garlic starter is so full of flavor I can’t even describe how happy it made my taste buds. Every bite of food I had was simply perfection. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in their recommendations. I honestly am planning another weekend trip simply to dine here again. This is a MUST eat while in town. Thank you all for this memorable experience.”
“The looks of the food does no justice. You have to actually try their food. Living in a world with so much inflation and bad unhealthy food, I left here feeling like I received my monies worth. I ate half my plate and I had energy to do other activities afterwards. I walked the French Quarter and didn’t feel tired. I finished the rest of my plate for dinner and instead of feeling tired and sleepy, I decided to come here and write this post. Worth every second of my time. Eating vegetables are an exciting experience, especially when you can eat them and feel good.”
“Willa Jean was one of the top suggested places by friends when visiting New Orleans. Running out of time, I went for a quick pastry since there's a to-go bakery counter near the large dining room. Ordering a blueberry muffin, they warmed it up for me. It was large and really good. It filled me for several hours!”
“Everything was amazing!! The ambience, staff and food…oysters bed, curried gumbo, pork vindaloo, and crème brûlée were all spot on. Next time I visit my family will definitely come back to enjoy again.”
“This is the one to come to. Parking, check. Nice setting, check. Clean, check. Friendly staff, check! Short line, check. It may take a little effort to get here, but so much more enjoyable than the downtown location.”
“Delicious breakfast! I ordered the special of the day: pear & goat cheese French toast and I also enjoyed the shrimp & grits. The orange juice was fresh squeezed & tasty.”

“I love Lil Dizzy’s food! The gumbo is like no other. The crawfish bisque is absolutely amazing. The fried chicken is just like my grandma’s. OMG I can go on and on, the Mac and sweet potatoes, potato salad, and so much more! You have to experience this place for yourself.”
“Best beignets ever! You also can't go wrong with their other delicious desserts. This was recommended by locals and now I see why. We are always bringing some home everytime. Light and flaky, not thick. The Rampart location has more selection, but you can grab your favorites in the French Market”
“My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Morning Call Coffee Stand in New Orleans, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with the tantalizing aroma of freshly made beignets and café au lait. The service was lightning-fast, and despite being a cash-only establishment, we were in and out in no time. The staff members were not only efficient but also had a great sense of humor, adding a playful touch to our morning routine. As for the food, it was simply divine. The beignets were light, fluffy, and dusted with just the right amount of powdered sugar, while the café au lait was rich and creamy, the perfect complement to the sweet treats.Overall, Morning Call Coffee Stand provided us with a memorable breakfast experience that perfectly encapsulated the charm and flavor of New Orleans. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit.”

“We were here in NOLA over the St. Paddy’s Day weekend. We dined at Stanley twice while we were here. We loved the food and drinks we had and Tonya was so very nice and pleasant and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely make it a point to dine at Stanley again on our next trip. Don & Perry, Dallas. 3/18/24”
“While in NOLA we always stop here and are always happy with the food, service and atmosphere in general. It’s enough away from the Bourbon atmosphere but close enough at the same, if you have a preference. It was clean, fast and friendly. All good!”
“I love me some Chubbies Fried Chicken, best chicken around. Every time I come to New Orleans I make sure I get some fried chicken. This time I am taking deliveries back to Florida with me.”
“I'm so glad they are back! I love this as a lunch option in MidCity. They have a great mission and their food is good, a win win! And personally, I'm ecstatic they brought back their black bean burger.”
“I just had their home made BOUDIN w/ crackers, Crystal and creole mustard! as good as I have ever had! I met the girl that made it at the meat counter on April 18…she was proud and should be!”
“This place has wut alot of bars where I'm from don't have! Upon walking in, it's a total vibe! Live band playing an array of different (genre) music. Not catering to only one group or culture of people. They definitely got it! And the drinks weren't bad either. The music was so good, it enticed us to stay and keep the drinks coming! It's definitely a place u must go to!”
“The place was clean, the person who took our order actually made eye contact when talking to us, and the back of the house crew appeared and sounded like cared about the customers and what they were doing!”
“As someone who has never tried the food from here, I was excited. I ordered my food and it was ready almost immediately. I was extremely pleased with the food they provided. Every employee I spoke to or asked something of while I was there was polite, prompt and accommodating. I will definitely be going back and would recommend any other first time takers to definitely check it out. It's the worth the trip!”
“One would be hard-pressed to find better enchiladas in New Orleans, we're looking forward to working our way through the menu. On this first visit, we loved the Chicken Mole Enchiladas and Enchiladas Suizas. These are refined homemade dishes, not something you would get in most places.Kid-friendliness: They do have hi chairs, this is a family-friendly place.”
“I love this location because the owners are extremely kind and they work through the lunch rush super fast!! No mistakes on my orders here ever and I'm a regular.”
“Chicken was hot but my fries was very cold and they trying to make me pay for sauce because I told cashier I ask for honey mustard sauce not Cane's sauce does one sauce go with the meal?”
“Raising Cane’s is my favourite chicken restaurant. The chicken fingers are cooked fresh and never frozen. The lemonade is really fresh and tasty and made in the unit from real fresh lemons. The staff is friendly and amazing. Food is prepared fresh when you order it and comes out fast. The special secret sauce pairs well with the fingers and fries. Cane’s specialises in chicken fingers and they do it right. Their tag line “One Love” is perfect and is present throughout your Cane’s experience. With many locations, you’re never far from a unit!!!! Stop in and git ya sum!!!! And bring ya mamma and dem!!!! I love me my Cane’s!!!”
“Ordered from Uber eats, didn't have high expectations but it was amazing!! The sushi rice was perfect! The rolls were fresco and delicious and they got or order completely correct!!”
“My local neighborhood Smoothie King. This location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. They have all the smoothies I know and love plus they are always staffed with two dependable workers taking orders and grinding out my smoothie orders within seconds of me ordering.”
“This is my favorite smoothie king the people are friendly and They make the best vegan mango kale smoothie out of them all. I have tried didn’t smoothie kings I’m none of them taste good to me and a medicine after taste I can’t explain it but no theirs is always good”

“Had the butter chicken, garlic butter naan and a mango lassi. Everything was wonderful, great flavor and perfectly crisp and airy naan. Lassi was perfect consistency and very refreshing.”
“We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server was attentive without hovering. We ordered the gulf fish (Drum) for my son and we did the Chef's choice. Everything came out with perfection. Our drinks were never empty and no courses overlapped. Needless to say we left full and blown away by the whole team at Plates.”

“We came for dinner as a family of four adults. We were seated outdoors which was really beautiful. Our waiter, Hunter was fantastic offering suggestions and great tips for first time visitors to NOLA. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Would recommend.Vegetarian of our party were vegetarian. Our waiter suggested a vegetable plate which was really nice! We also had the ravioli which were good but not great.”

“Uh oh new hot spot!!!This is seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. These guys know what's up, and the WINE, so good. Make your reservation now before it gets hard to get a table.”
“Best overall food experience ever! Every course was meticulously prepared and described perfectly so we could know exactly what we were tasting in every bite. the wine pairings were absolute perfection. Superb chefs, and the entire staff was friendly and professional. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“From the moment you step into Chemin à la Mer, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance. The restaurant's stunning riverfront location provides breathtaking views of the Mississippi River, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. But the true star of Chemin à la Mer is its exquisite cuisine. The menu features a delightful array of French-inspired dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite was the quiche, which is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The buttery crust, the velvety custard, and the perfectly cooked bacon harmonized in a symphony of textures and flavors that left me speechless. Our server, Mandy, was an absolute delight. Her warm smile, attentive service, and genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant's offerings made us feel welcomed and valued. She expertly guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our every need was met with utmost care. The other breakfast items we sampled were equally impressive. The omelets were fluffy and flavorful, the pancakes were light and airy, and the fresh fruit was impeccably ripe and juicy. Each dish was a testament to the chef's culinary expertise and commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. To top off our exceptional dining experience, our daughter received the utmost attention from Mandy. With her engaging personality and genuine love for children, Mandy made our daughter feel special and entertained throughout our meal. Her kindness and attentiveness were a true reflection of the restaurant's commitment to providing exceptional service to all its guests. Thank you, Mandy, for making our experience a lovely & memorable one.”
“I’ve never reviewed my greatest restaurant ever but I will start now. In October my wife and I went to Emeril in New Orleans. Not an easy reservation but worth the time, effort and long trip from our home in Hawaii. Our experience was great. . We knew that there were plans to shut down Emeril for a total redesign from top to bottom. We waited for the exact date to try to get a reservation and luckily secured one. We had absolutely no idea what to expect. The experience we had proved that the “new Emeril “ is the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. I will not describe each dish since it would take up too many words but know that each dish was outstanding. Now I will explain why Emeril is #1 in the eyes of both my wife and myself. Online you will see that there are two Tasting Menus, no a La carte so we were at least prepared for what we were going to eat. We were not prepared for the following total mind bending and culinary experience. When entering Emeril you are greeted with a true Aloha greeting. We sat at the gorgeous bar since we were early and had a Vieux Care our new go to cocktail. The mixologist continued with the Aloha Spirit and made an exceptional Vieux. The bar area was awesome. In a very short time we were greeted by a hostess who escorted us to the brand new dining room. It totally blew our minds. Twenty or less tables with a huge space between them. You almost feel that you are the only guests there. The table we sat at had a large banquette that just added a new dimension to comfort. Large gorgeous pillows supported our backs. Almost directly in front of us was a huge glass enclosed kitchen. This was pure culinary theatre. Almost immediately a chef came to our table and asked us if we would like to see the inside of the kitchen. We didn’t bat an eye and followed him into the most gorgeous well thought out kitchen we’ve ever seen. The chef gave us a brief description of the kitchen, introduced us to the staff and the entire team offered up a special hello. We both felt like the greatest VIP’s. He then showed us to a small table next to us that had two champagne flutes with what he said was a rhubarb juice. Also on a plate was a cube of some unbelievable jellied concoction to showcase the ingredients. Back to our table and the party began. The two tasting menus were explained, one Classic and the other Seasonal. Then the Amuse Bouches started arriving. We expected only one or two. Nope, two sets, one group of cold, the the other warm. Each one was as great as the seven small main dishes. The beauty of the entire experience was that we both left feeling sated, never full. The service was impeccable. Never hovering but always there and totally knowledgeable about every dish and that includes ingredients. The sommelier was the antithesis of what many sommelier’s are. Being Wine Educators and Consultants we really appreciated his knowledge and communication skills as well as his passion towards wine. We had a dedicated service team who I would love to take with us to other great but not perfect restaurants. Jason Burse, the Assistant General Manager made the whole experience into a perfect culinary tour de force. This is why we both feel that Emeril is the Best Restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. Although expensive, it did not break the bank. Can’t wait to return next October.”
“Amazing food next to none! I was a walk-in and got a table by the bar and ordered two cold and two hot appetizers. All four were amazing and I’ve been to several Michelin star restaurants! The tuna crudo was light and refreshing. The venison tartare was interesting although slightly chewy. The escargot was prepared differently than in the shell and seemed sautéed. The gnocchi was the star of the show and was amazing! Even the amus-bouche was decadent. If you have a chance to visit - please do - you will not be disappointed”
“My wife and I attended supper at Mosquito Supper Club this evening and I can safely say that it was my favorite meal I've ever eaten. We sat at a communal table and had a wonderful conversation with the other diners. The food was tremendously good, presented beautifully, and we left stuffed after four courses. We had so much fun and couldn't believe how delicious everything we ate was. Without a doubt the next time we come back to New Orleans we will dine here again, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a real, honest, authentic meal served with thought and care.”
“I love great design. The aesthetic appeal of this hotel is JUST SO enjoyable. And the functional design of the chamber room is the best I’ve ever experienced. Add to that the hospitality of the staff… I can’t wait to enjoy another Virgin Hotels property. This hotel is a winning combination”
“Where to begin. Food. I would say the best filet in town! Sides were amazing and plenty to share. I am a French onion soup snob,(had it seven times in Paris), and it was divine! From the beginning, our party of five fell in love with Terrance and Thomas! And the gentleman with him, it was Double T double D! From napkin in the lap to folded if you left the table(it's the little things that are few and far between). They watched to see if refills were needed and were beyond attentive! The entree presentation was awesome! I cannot say enough good things! Fixing to enjoy a chocolate martini before leaving! It's a must if you are visiting Nola!”
“Such a fabulous restaurant with a phenomenal atmosphere. The staff is amazing! Sunday brunch out of this world! And lunch phenomenal as well. We definitely suggest going to miss River.”
“Yo Nashi provided a top 3 food experience for my girlfriend and I. The omakase style of menu (chefs choice) allowed us to branch out and enjoy a wide array of food we wouldn't have ordinarily tried. Each of the 7 courses were perfectly crafted and cooked. I will never forget my night here. The whole staff was friendly and attentive and ensured the entire meal and experience was flawless. I cannot recommend Yo Nashi enough and will do so to anyone who can listen.”
“This was a new adventure and it paid off. The game was on and the crowd was loving it. The feel is spot on. I recommend this place. Security also on site. No guns allowed.”
“Destiny was the sweetest host! I am quite indecisive and particular but she was so accommodating and kind. I invited friends that had come from out of town to show them a great time in the city Destiny went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and were taken care of. They all enjoyed the experience and can't wait to come back again!”
“I earlier, good experience. Our waitress Leslie was very good. Took good care of us. She made the experience wonderful. Food was good. Everything was so tasty and delicious. I ordered the ribeye which normally favorable cut if meat but wasn't any flavor. Once I out A-1 which I usually don't need in a great steak, it was wonderful. The sides were prepared just right? Well seasoned, and tasty. Cost was a great bargain. But for the food, you couldn't beat the cost.”
“We had THE BEST experience at the Ruth Chris in New Orleans. Chef Teddy made sure my wife and I were taken care of to the max. The filet was outrageously delicious and the crab cakes were YUM! Our server Rashid (hope I am spelling that correctly) took good care of us too. Thank you for making our last night in town so spectacular.”

“This place should be hopping every day. The food was absolutely incredible and Misty, our server was great. We had a variety of dishes and the flavor of each of them was superb. It was definitely spicy, but we were warned it was, and the spice did not overpower the amazing flavors. This place is a definite repeat and worth going to, especially if you’re looking for something different than fried Southern. I hope this place has a long life. If I were a local, I’d make it a regular dining experience.”

“I have been sending people to Bar Tonique for close to a year from my position as liquor vault manager at the Sazerac House. So many return to tell me what a great experience they had & to thank me for recommending it. I have left the position at Sazerac House & won't be sending any more from there, Good luck to all the craftsmen & women behind this truly wonderful place!”
“Came in for a frozen Irish iced coffee and loved the staff and atmosphere so much we ended up staying for a few extra rounds! One of my favorite spots in the French Quarter.”
“such a cute lil spot. only got one dish and it was very good (crudités) and wish i could go regularly to try more stuff because what i had was so promising! but the star of what i tried was the soft serve (chocolate with chili crisp), it was smooth and creamy and a nice level of chocolate. good vibes and folks. if i lived in new orleans would hit this spot up often!”
“The food and atmosphere is spot on!! However, needs to have REAL flatware to go with the REAL dishes instead of plastic knives, spoons and forks!! That would increase the quality of the dining experience!”
“Tess took care of me and my husband. She was attentive and caring, and we appreciated her kindness. The food was so good, especially the chicken and waffles. It was so good my husband was pacing the floor. We would definitely go back again when we come to town.”
“Guy's is my favorite po'boy shop in the Garden District. Haven't been here in a few years, and although the layout has changed a bit, the shrimp po'boy is just the same. Wish I could be there more often.”
“I found Zee's through Barstool Pizza Reviews about a year ago, and I had to stop by while I was in the area now that they have a brick and mortar establishment! I ordered the red top slice which was pretty good. It was both thin and crispy, but I think the sauce or cheese could've had a bit more flavor. I imagine a whole fresh pizza would've blown this slice out of the water, but for the price, crispness, and convenience, it's hard to beat!”
“First note... Make an appointment or be prepared to wait. So we showed up without a appointment at the peach of bruch so we waited about 45 minutes maybe close to an hour. It was worth it . We had French toast bites, shrimp and grits, mimosas flights, bloody Mary with bacon. Everything tasted amazing. The service was quick and the host nice.”
“This place is nothing short of phenomenal. I'll explain. my 15 y.o. and I are constantly on the search for a good Pad kra pao (Holy Basil/Spicy Basil) that's actually SPICY . Don't sleep on this neighborhood spot. Even if, like me, you're from a different neighborhood (or even State/Country/Planet) this place is legit. Awesome, friendly service and atmosphere here. Can't wait to bring my son. Fair warning: Thai hot is just that... ...FINALLY! Can't go wrong with Thai'd Up!”
“I had the gumbo and po boy combo and it was the best I’ve ever had! Huge piece of fish for a half sandwich and the gumbo was so good. Everyone else had breakfast and said it was great. Our waitress, Pamela, made the meal even better! We had a large group and she was attentive, eager to help in any way, and never seemed overwhelmed with all we asked. When she found out I was dairy free, she immediately returned with oat milk for my coffee. We will definitely come back and recommend it to all who visit New Orleans.”
“Wow best snow ball I have ever had. Never would have thought of sweetened condensed milk in a snow ball would be so AMAZING. Fast as they can friendly service. Ok the building is 85 years old don't expect much yet loved this place.”
“Nice local pub. We stumbled upon this place and I am so glad we did. Had an awesome burger paired with a nice ale. Friendly service and prices are good for the area. Definitely will return.”
“Cute little gelato shop! You can tell everything is made in-house! So many sorbet flavors, great for those gluten and dairy free people. Service was very friendly and quick.”
“Eaten here several times and I keep coming back because everything is delicious. Staff is friendly and happy to explain the cuisine to the unfamiliar. Price is right too.”
“vaughan's is always a great place to grab drink after work. this was an after work stop for bday drinks for a friend/co-worker. it's was an excellent night. lot's of great discussions about oddball topics?so yeah, we had a blast. bday drinks after work was an excellent plan, and vaughans was the perfect place for that to happen.”
“Doug deserves a hug!! Our first visit was 1 1/2 years ago our second was last night. He served us both times an now we just want to uproot and move to NO. If you can get in this place do it!!”

“Food, cocktails & service are all top notch. Recommend sitting at the chef’s counter if you get the chance…it’s a great way to watch the craftsmanship that goes into every dish. We will definitely go back next time we’re in town.”
“This would be five stars if there hadn’t been a couple of slipups as the food and atmosphere were great and the servers were both friendly and knowledgeable about the food. However one side dish never appeared (but didn’t show up on the check) and we were assured that they knew how to prepare an Irish coffee but this was not the case - it wasn’t even close to the real thing. We would also have appreciated seeing a few moderately priced bottles of wine on the list, i.e. in the $35-50 range. But still a very enjoyable meal.”
“I'm not a vegan eater, nor do I write these reviews ever, but this place is GOOD!!! The Creole Omelette toast was great and the Tea Biscuit was one of the best pieces of bread I've ever eaten.”

“This place is such a gem! The food is amazing and the staff should be serving royalty! They are so kind and attentive! They made great suggestions and anticipated all of our needs!”
“Went here for jazz brunch one day! Great atmosphere, really pretty place. We sat in the courtyard area. I had the croque monsieur and my boyfriend had the boudin Benedict (forget what it’s called). Both were delish! Plus the give you bread!!! Love bread. Cocktails were good too! Staff was cool!”
“It’s was a belated birthday dinner, and it was well worth the wait. Food was scrumptious, our waitress was full of personality. Kitchen was busy, but gave us time to breathe between courses. The white chocolate bread pudding was excellent and large enough for 3 of us to share. Thanks for such a delicious meal … until next time …”
“I was very pleased with this beautiful restaurant! It was an amazing and new experience! I would recommend to anyone to try! Once you try it once you gone once you are going to want to go back! Gluten free friendly!!”
“One of the BEST reuben sandwichs we've had. Ribs were great as well as the pulled pork. We had potato salad and Mac N cheese which they put their spin on too. Absolutely fantastic!”

“We had an amazing experience ! We got into NOLA later than expected and we’re starving. We had walked around and a lot of places were closing. Liz was outside treated us in the most friendly manner and we got a table right away. My 5 year old was already freaked out by bourbon street and was being stubborn. They made a grilled cheese especially for her and got her feeling better. The food was amazing and the service and hospitality were impeccable! I highly recommend pasta, gumbo, or the sandwiches. It is a bit pricey but your taste buds will thank you and Liz will tell you anything you need to know about visiting the city, and make you feel like family. Oh and did I mention homemade biscuits and to die for French bread?”

“Above all, you MUST order the seared scallops and artichoke appetizer. Fan-freaking-tactic! The Black Manhattan is excellent — except is was stirred long enough so it was nearly lukewarm when brought to the table. Great flavor, but disappointed at how warm it was. (An extra point for Luxardo cherries. Seriously. How can a restaurant claim they serve cocktails if they don’t use Luxardo cherries????)”

“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.”
“Ordered the seafood platter and a filet to share. Everything was great. We make a special side trip to eat here and were not disappointed. The only thing lacking was the bread which not great and New Orleans has good bread so it could have been better.Parking: Free valet, just pull up front.”
“We were looking for a non-touristy spot after seeing an amazing jazz performance at Preservation Hall. The bartender prior to the performance recommended a few places including The Grapevine. We sat at the bar and were greeting immediately and the bartender Michael was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They start out every meal with individually warmed baguettes and specialty whipped butter, that night it was cracked pepper and truffle. We shared a couple items off of the specials (an artichoke soup that was to die for and a roasted marrow bone topped with Creole style crawfish tails) and then the caprese which may seem simple but was done to perfection with a NOLA flair topped with seafood. The price point was also amazing for both food and alcohol. This was definitely our most favorite eatery experience while in NOLA.”

“This is a hidden gem. I love the oysters, St. John and the shrimp remoulade appetizers. The appetizers are always on point. I have not tried every entrée, but the ones I have had don’t compare to the appetizers. The shrimp and grits is pretty good.”

“The service was great. It had a nice bar and a peaceful feeling. We ordered pork belly, pork shoulder, octopus, beet salad, roti bread, spaghetti, and rice. The pork belly was by far the best dish. The pork melted in my mouth and tasted like heaven. The pork shoulder was great. The inside was cooked well and the sauce was okay. The only issue I had with the sauce was that it was too sweet. The octopus was also good because it had a nice and crispy outside and soft juicy inside. Definitely one of their top dishes. The best salad was refreshing and on point. The rice had a nice buttery garlic seasoning and the bread was nice and warm. The spaghetti was a little bit spicy but the flavors and taste were excellent. Deserts- chocolate Pana cotta with a strawberry jelly was brilliant. House made ice cream- blueberry rose, passion fruit, and banana fudge rum. The blueberry rose was my favorite as it had bold flavors and brilliant taste. The others are good but could be better. I definitely recommend going here and will come back!”

“Intimate setting. Plenty of quality starters/snacks including crawfish beignets and fries. I got the Romaine salad with chicken and didn't love it. My date for a vegetarian option which she loved. Good ambiance, hip, cool & friendly servers”
“Loved the atmosphere and the food here, the dining room is beautiful. Favorites were the blue crab beignets, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, gumbo and pecan ”
“The Toups’ Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Our waiter was very knowledgeable in the dishes and kept our drinks full. I highly recommend this place. Next time I go I want to try the smoked duck!”

“Incredible food. Most dishes are appropriately small so it encourages sharing and a family-style approach. Pizzas are really something else and the pastas are to die for. Really great choices in wines, and although the price tags arent low, it is worth it.”

“Cute restaurant with amazing food, we had a few small plates: steak skewers, ceviche, salad, and tostones. Would recommend all of them but the best was the ceviche! The cocktails were delicious too.”
“One of the best dining experiences my wife and I ever had. It is a true culinary delight that awakens your taste buds. Braiden was an excellent server who takes pride in his work and it shows! Thank you for a wonderful evening.”
“Got in for a late birthday dinner, and they did not disappoint. I love going through the kitchen, and getting a cocktail before going to your table. Had a wonderful experience, and delicious food.”
“Coolest atmosphere! Excellent cocktails and the bourbon selection in their sister bar, Rusty Nail was fantastic. Off the beaten path, pricey, but what isn't!?!”

“This place is amazing. I found it by chance since it was right next to my air bnb and wow. This is probably the best pizza I have ever had. We ordered the burrata, the Caesar salad and we ordered the Bianca pizza with some modifications. The burrata was delicious as was the Caesar salad. Even the pizza was amazing. The pizza was so good I had to take it to the airport the next day and people were asking me where it was from, it was that good. I’ve never had truffle ricotta before and it was a dream. Definitely recommend this place if you’re local or planning on visiting Frenchmen street”
“All of my senses were OVERWHELMED with pleasure at Criollo's Jazz Brunch! The service and food was superb Michelin level quality. The live jazz band kept me entertained as I was coursed out. The chef elevated the fried green tomatoes and chicken biscuit to an award winning level. The chicken biscuit was smothered in jalapeño's, scallions and the best rue I have ever tasted so I sent my compliments to the chef. Every delectable bite forced my eyes shut so I could deeply enjoy the freshness, flavor and texture. While I was enjoying coffee the chef sent complimentary Rosemary & Lemon Custard Madeline's. It was an innovative way to approach this classic pastry. My only critique is the custard on top was so good I wanted more. Very light, fresh, and balanced melody of flavors. The consistency was reminiscent of a fusion between a scone and puff pastry. You can tell the French invited fries by how well the fries here complimented every dish. It was such a phenomenal experience, I found myself making reservations for the next day halfway through brunch and I am happy to say the food, service and entertainment are consistently great here. The fancy French atmosphere at Hotel Monteleone was fit for a Queen and the bathroom attendant cleaned the stall prior to each guests use. This is a must try spot in The French Quarter.”
“Amy is one of the BEST bartenders I've ever had, and I went to college in Wisconsin. If you want a small bar with good music and good people, this is the place!”
“Super healthy food and service with a smile here. They will make modifications for you, if you need it. I often get their delicious food to go. It’s very easily ordered online.”

“This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The food is outstanding, without trying too hard or overdoing it in any way. Pairings of flavors are superb, the food is consistently outstanding, and the service is knowledgeable and spot on. The location is perfect, too.”
“We came at 4, which is when they open. Perfect, no one was hardly there. Then, out of nowhere. A family of 10 with 8 kids all under the age of 11 was so loud and had no home training the adults didn't seem to mind either. Not to mention, the kids were all girls. Business is Business. I would say wayy too kid friendly of a ”
“According to the hostess, this was originally an old rectory that they renovated and turned into a charming, warm and inviting space with kitschy seating.
“While in NOLA we always stop here and are always happy with the food, service and atmosphere in general. It’s enough away from the Bourbon atmosphere but close enough at the same, if you have a preference. It was clean, fast and friendly. All good!”

“Fantastic evening at an institution. Food was top tier from the French 75s through to the baked Alaska dessert. Crab cake / Shrimp Arnaud starters were solid whilst the mains (veal medallions in a mushrooom sauce / quail in a strawberry gaatrique) were exceptional. Service was top tier with a special shoutout to Travis who made our evening.”
“Simply stated—The best pizza I have ever had. Additionally, a superior managed store with a friendly, courteous and a professional staff. Great job! Thank you.”

Emeril's
“I read an issue of Southern Living Magazine which listed best barbecue in each of the Southern states. The magazine rated Central City Barbecue in New Orleans as the second best barbecue restaurant in Louisiana. We decided to give it a try. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed a television screen advertising a Beef Rib Special offered on Weekends for $29. I knew I had to order that. In the Bay Area, beef ribs normally sell for $40-55. When we placed our order to share, I was pleasantly surprised when we were asked what two sides we wanted with the rib. "We get choice of sides?" Never back home. We ended up ordering so much food, adding a three meat platter and a two meat platter, that we took enough leftovers home to provide an additional meal for each of us. The sides were all quite good, although the mac and cheese could have used a touch of salt. All the meats were mouth watering. Fall off the bone pork spareribs, burnt ends, beef brisket, pork belly, and of course the aforementioned beef rib which was huge and perfectly done. As Schwarzengger would say, "WE'll be back!"”
“Members of the team were very knowledgeable, patient and timely. I enjoyed my meal during Mardi Gras and my visit to the restaurant was even better. Great tasting lamb and salmon. ????”

Maïs Arepas
“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit. My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff. No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.”
“I contracted with Ralph's for a rehersal dinner for 50 people. Julie was my contact and she is amazing. I am a planner by nature but she was totally awesome. She walked us through the menu and space and the night was magical. She is attentive to detail, organized, pleasant to work with, and thought of things I needed based on the guest list. An example, I had one child's dinner and she called to see if that child required a high chair. It was those little things that she caught that made the event a night to remember. The staff on duty that night were also A+. They were exrremely attentive to all our guests needs. We had guests from 7 different states from CA to AK and they were blown away by the balcony bar, the views, and the entire event. It made me so proud to put our southern hospitality on display. I highly recommend Julie and Ralphs for your party needs.”
“Really cool outdoor space with good food, great for groups and vibey dates. If you want to eat outside, this is a top choice. You order at the window so the service is real quick and easy. Ordered a few tacos, the queso, and a bowl. So the tacos were ok, no real complaints. But the bowl is where it’s at. Beans and rice and guacamole and choice of protein and you can add broccoli and mushrooms. Great meal, really filling and delicious. The queso was unique, I added the chili and it came with pomegranate so it was a mixture of spice and sweet. Also, don’t sleep on the frozen mango margarita. Delish. This’ll be the happening spot as the weather warms up!”
“This was a fun adult bar setting with a sailor's theme. The food was amazing and the service even more amazing. They served drinks done right and if you go I highly recommend the Bread Service as a starter. You will not be disappointed!!!Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian optionsParking: There is a lot right across the street that cost roughly 4.00 for 2 hours. We found a place to park just around the corner for free.”

Dahla
“Wow, this place is delicious. It can get super busy at peak times, so plan accordingly! I haven't had anything here that isn't absolutely delicious. Every meal is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions are a great size. The spring rolls are my personal fave. It's relaxing and beautiful inside, with kind and attentive wait staff. 5/5 rating for sure!”
“Lot's of decisions and they are all pretty good! You walk in place your order boil bags from shrimp to pig feet boil. (And everything else) And the other line they have is for fried platters. Both lines stay fairly busy. Which means...., The food must be pretty good or people wouldn't wait in line for that long to get an order. And it is that good. I got the softshell crab platter with fried rice, which was rather delicious. It was more than I could eat. and my husband had the shrimp po' boy sandwich He thought was pretty good. If you looking for cheaper and taste as good as the French Quarter then you should check it out.The ambience is so so it's really nothing to brag about because you just go pick up your food. Sit and eat it if you like and if you don't you keep it moving.”
“Great food! My wife and I recently visited New Orleans and rode the trolley cars around. When we got hungry we got off and walked here. It has a cool local feel and is much quieter than downtown NOLA. The shrimp remoulade was an awesome appetizer! We also enjoyed the Creole shrimp and the fried softshell crab. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. We had a great time! Definitely recommend!”
“Awesome dinner as always. Made reservations at the last minute and they accommodated us right away and then when we arrived we were seated right away. Steaks, creamed spinach, asparagus and so much more was perfect. Our waiter Travis was the best! Seeing Glenn Bove made our night extra special.”
“We had our Easter lunch here and everyone was extremely happy with their food. Great service, kind and timely, the owner came out and spoke with us and we all really enjoyed our time!”
“An exceptional bar in a city full of bars. The Paris Safari decor theme makes for a cozy vibe. The varied cocktail list has many New Orleans classics that are made expertly. We loved the Brandy Crusta, Arnaud’s Special and the Bobby Oakes. We also enjoyed the tasty gougeres and the deviled eggs from the bar bites menu. Service was excellent.”
“Stopped here because the name included rum. And both the rum house and Axel did not disappoint. Quickly seated, and Axel right there to take our order. The tuna ceviche was delicious. We also partook in the spicy rum flight, bartenders choice. And had some tacos with fried plantains. All fresh, all good. Nice atmosphere, fun vibe, solid service. Not bad for picking because of the name of restaurant.Kid-friendliness: We don’t have kids but saw kids here so must be kid friendly”
“AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING DRINKS, AMAZING ATMOSPHERE, AMAZING SERVICE !!!! TRY THEIR FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, SPRING ROLLS & PORK CABOBS. THANK ME LATER !!! ALSO BRAXTON AS A WAITER OR BARTENDER IS AMAZING !!! 10 STARS FOR SURE !!!”
“I don’t know where to start but maybe with the meticulous approach to everything from prep to plating. Every dish was immaculate. The vibe was blessedly chill. Our server Catherine (who I sensed handles greater responsibilities) was cordial and informative, including her wine selections. We went with classics tonight: ceviche, mofongo, arepas, ropa vieja, and everything was perfect. I love this place so much.”
“Pluck has a terrific selection of wines by the glass and the bottle. The wines you will find here are carefully selected and there are several fun surprises beyond the usual suspects. The food is also excellent. And the staff are knowledgeable and well trained.”

“Pretty good food for the price. There are a lot of different flavors to choose from, and the wings are fried fresh to order. If it gets busy, the wings can get a little soft on the way home, but are otherwise crisp when eaten in store.”
“The shrimp fried rice was amazing. The sesame chicken sauce was just as good. But I wasn’t a fan of the meat itself. Weird taste. But that’s not my problem. My problem is them not taking debit/credit cards. It’s 2023 I hardly ever carry cash. I was hungry and had my mind set on this place so I had to go to an ATM. Adding extra time and wasting gas. But overall. Everything else was great. I really did enjoy the Rice.”
“I've been to collettes over a dozen times, and I've never had one bad experience. It's the only reason I go to nola now, it's an incredible experience and I recommend it to everyone in the lifestyle I meet.”
“Best sushi in the city. Now mind you, I grew up in San Francisco and have lived in Los Angeles for over 25 years. I KNOW good Pacific quality sushi. This town blows for sushi. Gulf seafood is amazing! Pacific seafood is laughable. If you, like me, know and lust after something better... this is your answer. Ordered online through their website, tip, payment. Done. Walked in like a boss, said my name and walked out. Perfect pickup experience. I had places to be. They respect that. First time eating here so I danced around on the menu. My lady is diabetic, so rice free rolls are our litmus test. Can't hide behind that rice shield, dawg. They have two rice free rolls. Now I'm a gentleman so I take less than half the rolls we split, just so I can woo her with, "Please! This one is all yours!" I look like a boss. That's a pro tip, guys. She always does that delicate flower move of, "I'm so stuffed! Take the rest!" You know how it goes. Not this time amigo! I had two of six and she's going after that fourth like it's Mardi Gras. The other was a rice paper thing with a cucumber hat and a touch of spice... had it's own special subtly sweet citrus dipping sauce. Insane! Talk about balance. Speaking of... tempura appetizer. Yeah, you already know what it looks and tastes like just by saying those words, right? Nope! A slice of lemon in the dipping sauce. Mind. F'ing. Blown. Seriously, why are you still reading this and not going there right now to eat their food!? I work ten minutes away. I'm seriously making this place a regular weekly lunch thing. If they aren't yelling my name, like Norm in Cheers, as I walk in for lunch, I'm taking that as a personal failure on my part. If you see me there shoveling rolls into my fat face, give me a fist bump and a knowing nod. You're welcome.”
“Four of us ate there Friday night, a combination of tapas and a seafood paella to share. The owner also waits the tables, so be prepared to relax. The paella was exquisite, one of the best I've ever had. We shared a bottle of the house white, an albarino. The food was all delicious! The owner is so gracious and aims to please. Excellent value for the money.”
“Best cafe ever. SUCH a local hidden gem in New Orleans. Got the praline crunch ice cream and had to come back the next day. Pecan tart is sooooo good as well! Nicest people ever and made my experience so wonderful❤️”
“Visiting from Colorado, by far the best burger I have EVER had. Blackened chicken with anything is also incredible! Bit pricey but amazing food and absolutely worth it!”
“The location and atmosphere was not very chic but baby the food was on point and the service was excellent. They were so patient, helpful, and friendly! The food was bomb! Thanks New Orleans for a great restaurant on my trip!”
“Where else can you get gas station pizza at 3 a.m. in the morning? It gets 4 stars just for that. But I will warn you, GET IT HOT. Don't eat their ready pizzas.”
“Just saw the most amazing drag show today at Mags 940. The Queens were so entertaining. the bartender made the best cosmo and the NJ owner was very kind to our group.”
“I visit Freddie's Chicken N' Waffles in July 2022 . My hotel was around the corner and I walked past and they were closing. The next morning I got up early. I had the fried strawberry pancake. This place is a hiding gem best breakfast in town. Never ever tasted great breakfast like this. I only eat breakfast at Freddie's Chicken N Waffles my entire stay. The wait time was slow and the waiter was busy but had a great attitude. Food is cooked at the time you ordered it and was worth the wait. My friend had the fried chicken and waffles and she said that it was good. My favorite is the strawberry fried pancake delicious!!! If I every return back to NO I would visit again. My own relatives who live in NO did not even know about this place!”

“Loved! Sooo worth the wait. Bought far too many souvenirs! Just was in love with everything. They have a location in the airport too where we got some beignets and a cafe mocha before we left!”
“First time in NOLA, had to hit up Cafe Du Monde for their beignets! It was packed around 5, but the wait was only like 20 mins (way better than I thought). Once we had a table, the service was lightning-fast, and our order was on the table in 10 minutes. Definitely a must-try!”
“This was an exceptional restaurant. I really enjoyed the different room decor. It changed from area to area. Also the staff and waiters looked very professional in their black suits. Very nice touch. White linens? Indeed.Service was exceptional. Our waitress was the best. They were a bit busy so food prep was a little slow but not out of the ordinary. Our meals were awesome. Great menu, great prep, and great presentation. This location cannot be missed. You will enjoy!Parking: Take an Uber or walk. You won’t find parking.”
“Tried to get a reservation, only opening was 9:45pm, ended up doing a walk in, and was seated within 10 minutes in the patio area. Was wonderful to see the turtles in the fountain, and was still able to get a banana foster at 11am on a Sunday. Incredible experience.”
“Our servers, Jesse and Latisha, were wonderful and made us feel very special. They were attentive and warm and welcoming. We had the shrimp Romoulade and the crab appetizers, ,which were excellent. My husbands shrimp creole was also very good. The side of fresh asparagus was perfect my cooked. Unfortunately the Pompano Pnochatrain was a disappointment. It was supposed to be grilled with abutter poached lump crab and a white wine reduction. It was very dry and tough with no sign of any sauce. The baked Alaska was not flamed table side and had minimal signs of having been flambéed in the kitchen. Overall an uneven experience but the evening was definitely saved by our two servers.”
“Tried the seafood gumbo , and raspberry butter cake for a quick lunch. Zero complaints about either. This would be my first ever gumbo in NOLA. The shrimp was ultra tender and big chunks of crab in it. The ooey gooey raspberry buttercake was all of its words. Damn good. Lawrence and his apprentice with the red hair were amazing. Shout out to them and their amazing service.”
“A superb evening at the Creole Cookery. Our waitress, Maria, was perfect, very welcoming and attentive. A very good jambalaya and an even better dessert on a very pleasant terrace!”
“Pretty good food. I was not wowed by anything, and I definitely think you can get better quality food in a smaller mom&pop environment, but I’d go back for sure.We started with some cocktails that were pretty good, not too crazy. The entree platters were surprisingly big. I did not get to try them but my friends enjoyed. I had the gumbo and Peruvian scallop which were both tasty. Not wow, but good. 8.5/10. They also brought my friend a little dessert for her birthday which was so sweet! A burger was also ordered along with shrimp and grits, a bisque, and halibut I believe. I tried the shrimp and grits and it was GOOD. That stole the show for me. Overall not my favorite place for creole food, but still worth a visit.”
“Antoine was a fantastic server ...polite, courteous, attentive, and extremely handsome. oh and the food was good too. I ordered the soup of the day which was the crab chowder - really decadent but not too rich. Dinner was a coffee rubbed filet cooked to perfection. I was dining alone but seated close to two different couples who did not know each other but struck up a conversation due to their proximity and I enjoyed their conversation as one couple was Swedish and the other was from AL but had Swedish roots. it was a really cool place to eat since I would call it fine dining but a comfortable feel. 10/10. Ask for Antoine.”
“Excellent restaurant on canal street and worth a stop for a great dining experience.A classic, warm and inviting set-up with attentive staff and a simple refined menu.Excellent food, which was delicious, along with amazing dessert to top it off.”
“We visited this restaurant this past Saturday! Table of 9…Kobe was the waiter! He was the best and friendly! Wait times were not bad to be seated or for food to arrive!”
“nice atmosphere with very good food and service. Jeremiah was by far the best server in the restaurant and made sure we had everything we needed when we wanted it.”
“Meril, Meril how I love you This is one of our favorite spots to go for date night or just meeting some friends for dinner and delicious cocktails. Service is always top-notch. We usually have a main waiter and then someone assisting with the table. But don't take that as a stuffy, uppity place to be, it's very casual and nice to have servers taking care of the table all throughout the meals. Apps: we decided to make a meal out of appetizers, and we kind of went overboard. Definitely small plates but big enough to share with leftovers if you do it right. We decided to order appetizers and make that our meal. We chose the Bacon Braised Collard Greens from the daily specials. We also chose Smoked Fish Dip, Crispy Cod Sliders, Deviled Eggs, Korean Fried Chicken Wings and Pad Thai Cauliflower For cocktails we started with English Turn(grapefruit but not sour), Tchoup(cucumber deliciousness) and Albariño(smooth white wine). All so good! It was also our 11 year anniversary and they surprised us with some cotton candy and a sparkler! Perfection!”

“I was only in town for one night and went to Rosella on the advice of a friend. It was lovely! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the overall vibe. I also had a chance to chat with the owners for a few minutes and could tell they really care about the neighborhood and their employees, as well as providing a quality product. I highly recommend supporting this locally-owned restaurant and the wonderful folks bringing their vision to Mid-City.Parking: There's a small private lot behind the restaurant.”

“My husband and I are Thai food lovers so we like to try new Thai restaurants in every part of the city — we went to go see the Monet exhibit and decided to stop by Good Catch Thai Urban Bistro. The food is top notch! We really enjoyed our meal including my jumbo lump crab curry entree and my husband’s Tom Yum Noodle soup entree. We also ordered several appetizers and all were very good with fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back!”
“Stopped here with a friend to try some beers and it was a great experience. Ecology has a great beer selection in a nice discreet comfortable setting. I will be back.”
“The newest and coolest Country themed bar in the FQ. Plenty of planning & expense went into this brand new bar. Authentic! Staff is very welcoming, drinks are generously poured, spotlessly clean and the huge balcony overlooking Bienville St. offers a FQ/N.O. skyline view unlike any other you'll find. If you dig country bar vibes, this is the place.”
“Came here for breakfast & had a blueberry muffin & sausage egg cheese sandwich. Both were amazing. Came back for dinner and got the spaghetti bolognese. It’s the best pasta I had in a while. Definitely coming back.”
“This was a total hidden gem right above the bustling music halls of Frenchman street! The food was absolutely amazing. The charbroiled oysters, lamb lollipops, and octopus were perfection. With all the big name restaurants we visited in New Orleans, this was our favorite meal of the trip. Ambience was nice and quiet and the wines were awesome. You won't regret giving this place a try!”
“Jessica provided an excellent tour of their distillery, gave an awesome tasting experience in a great atmosphere and made this a stellar visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheers!”
“I appreciated the warm greeting and genuine smile. Professional attitude and knowledge of all questions we asked of her, of course she gave us great service, her name was Lashaun, S.”
