“I went fearful of what I could find, I was looking for Mexican food and I found this oasis, I'm from Houston Tx and never thought I would find the best birria at this place, service was excellent and price very affordable, ambiance was excellent, the place is super nice.“
“My husband and I went to Saba for brunch after multiple recommendations from friends and strangers. Wow… it was absolutely delicious. Some of our favorites were the variety of sodas, crab hummus, eggplant dip and fried chicken. I can’t wait to come back for the pancakes! Our waitress (I wish I remember her name … she had pink hair) was incredibly kind. So thank you to her for the hospitality and other suggestions while we are in town. We will be back!“
“Tried this place on my trip to New Orleans. We started off with Turkish Coffee, Hummus and Veggie Grape Leaves. For mains, I had Falafel Sandwich. Food was delicious. The server was super polite and attentive. The ambiance was decent.I would definitely recommend this place! Must try!“
“I ordered the Vegan Feast. I wish there was more falafel for the amount of two hummus, one beet salad/kimchi, one salad, and one other type of hummus. The amount of food for the cost in NOLA sure, but I wish I had ordered 2-3 days ago so I could eat it all.“
“This place is AMAZING! I ordered 2 bowls with lemon chicken, seasoned rice, feta, Kalamata olives, cucumber tomato salad, red onions, topped with garlic green beans and finished with delicious Tzatziki sauce and a little salt and pepper, man oh man was it delicious! My sister (to whom the second bowl was for) and I have found our new favorite place, I’d give more stars if I could. If you’re looking to try something new, or just looking for some good Mediterranean food try The Simple Mediterranean, you’ll thank me later.“
“Do you miss your favorite aunt and uncle? The ones who always have delicious food on the stove, time to listen to your celebrations and sorrows, and offer uplifting advice and encouragement over a cup of tea? From the moment I made reservations, I felt like a family member.Jamila's food was homey and comforting. The service was something I will remember for years to come. Everything at Jamila's is done with love. I can not recommend highly enough!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian couscous, several appetizers and dessertsDietary restrictions: I have multiple food restrictions, and each one was accommodated and respected(gf, df, alpha-gal)“
“i usually eat here once a week. Relaxed environment. Waitresses are all very friendly amd helpful. Foodbis terrific. Love their dolmas with labneh, goat cheese with walnuts, ans especially their baked feta. The kufta is also amazing; I was told it is the owner's mother's own recipe. my only small gripe is that I have shown up a few times and they were either closed early or had a private event. Still, a great place and worth trying.“
“The BEST (maybe only?) vegetarian muffuletta you'll get in the French Quarter. It's awesome but so are their other offerings. It does take a few minutes for the food, as they make everything too order but is so worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The muffuletta all the way!“
“The Farmer’s Salad at Misa is one of my favorite restaurant salads in the city. It has actual vegetables (not just a bowl of lettuce) and it’s topped with a nice, herby vinaigrette. I also love their Sweet Potato Ravioli and spacious outdoor seating.“
“The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty. The swarma plate is huge and comes with very tasty rice and a salad. The meat is seasoned well and the salad dressing was wonderful. Not enough pita bread so order extra. One thing though... the Baba Ganou does not come with pita bread. You have to order that separately. Ask for some extra pita bread and you'll be fine!“
“Surprisingly, a fusion that really works is Israeli and Southern food at Shaya. Located along Magazine Street, it's a small restaurant with inviting staff. Booking a reservation on a Monday at noon, our party of four walked in and were served in no time.To feed myself, wife, mother-in-law, and seven-year-old daughter, we ordered the fried chicken hummus, mushroom hummus, pide, and three dips (labneh, beets, and moussaka). We were literally full from noon to the next morning. The pita bread comes out hot unlimited and it's filling!Literally, every dish was great, but I found the sweetness of the date salsa verde and the savory of the aleppo pepper worked well on the fried chicken hummus. (The hummus is so smooth!) My wife and mother-in-law loved the mushroom hummus best.Don't sleep on the drinks. The pomegranate lemon soda was refreshing, Lebanese iced tea sweet, and the mint tea comes with a pitcher of more.If you love good food, go here!“
