“I always drove past the place but I finally found the motivation to check it out. I think the pricing is reasonable, the gyro wrap was good seasoning wasn't overpowering, the side salad was fresh and felt homemade.Place feels like a hole in the hole and the people are nice and courteous. I recommend.“

“Today, I, together with a group of friends from Baton Rouge and Central, visited this, my favorite Albasha Restaurant, for lunch. Two of us ordered Lentil soup, it came out cold and salty. Two of my friends order the chicken shawarma plate and their food was also cold. None complained, as we had a very nice and friendly waitress. I tried to call the manager later to let him know, instead of posting this review, but I could not get him in the phone.“

“Stumbled onto this place while traveling and really pleased that I did. I got the #1, which included chicken shawarma, rice pilaf, hummus, a pita, a small green salad, and a side of tzatziki. Added a side of fried cauliflower. All were excellent, much better than expected, chicken was about the best shawarma I've ever had, and it was probably enough food for 2. Friendly service and fast casual lunch counter service model make it easy and quick. Would highly recommend, and will return if I'm ever down that way again.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit. The chicken shawarma is outstanding, as well as the Mediterranean hummus. Don't forget to ask for whole wheat pita to go with the hummus. Always look forward to my visits to Cafe Phoenicia.“

“Although price would increase with larger portions, their lamb shank would not have been big enough to satiate a full-grown-adult dinner. Mine was more like the size of a leg from a rotisserie chicken, still super flavorful. Refined details such as a beautiful updated bar and modern lighting will keep me coming back. Roman's is really good at what they do. I gnawed on that lamb shank for awhile, so satiating and carnal. Portion size is pertinent, however.“

“Fast, friendly, filling. Good place to get a quick Greek fix. Plenty of menu options. Everything we had was tasty. Close to the intersection but easy enough to get in and out. Was here after 1:00 and we went straight through - no wait.“

“Excellent beef shawarma sandwich, more food than I could eat. They also had soda from the ME I hadn’t had since my 2010 deployment. The guys working were very friendly and generous with the food and sauces. Try them.“
