“Ordered the crab cake Benedict. One of the two eggs were perfectly cooked; however, the other was overdone and did not have a runny yoke. However, the crab was well proportioned and the biscuits more than made up for it. I loved that the dish was served with a salad and breakfast potatoes as well.“

“Excellent service (they have buzzers! I don’t need to listen for my name in a crowded bar!) and tasty food. In addition to bar time bites, their food travels well (due to some thoughtful packaging, bread isn’t stacked atop meat, etc) and I am able to grab stuff on my lunch break. A welcome addition to Mid-City!“
“We stumbled into Iacovone and for a moment thought we had come into the wrong place. The restaurant is a hole in a wall that looks so decrepit from the outside, only the "Open" sign convinced me that it was actually a working restaurant. Then, when you walk in, there were two small plastic tables with a few plastic chairs. So it's then a little jarring at the counter to look at the menu of the day and see serious food for prices that are extremely reasonable for serious food (but still more than you have ever paid in a place that has a bit of an eating in a Subway feel to it). But don't let that dissuade you. Because this is indeed incredible food at very reasonable prices, and the advantage of being in a tiny hole in the wall is that you almost can't help but chat with the Chef/Owner/Sole Employee who has a great story to tell about his journey through the food world and his love for New Orleans. Iacovone was the last restaurant we visited on a three week vacation across multiple countries where we ate incredibly well. It was a fitting last stop. Make sure to give it a try on your next visit to the Crescent City.“

“I have had the fish with beans and rice. It was delicious and reminded me of how my grandmother used onions and mustard. It’s been a long time and this meal sent me back to childhood. Let’s talk about the fufu and egusi . I’ve had it in Houston before and I wasn’t too excited about it but Ndindy has me wanting to eat fufu every day now. I always order thru Uber eats but I will be sitting in as soon as I get a date ? Oh I forgot! It would be nice if the fufu was an option for more dishes not just the egusi“

“Dolma has no business tasting this good! I had the chicken shawarma wrap—I had to get up and give props to the cook. It’s not the commercial Mediterranean by any means—it tastes like it was made at home with love. The presentation was amazing. Im extremely picky about food. I’d give them 10 stars if I could“

“Ate here twice in February 2024. Everything was extremely fresh and there was a great (~24?) options for dressing. Plenty of protein options. Was in the city on a work trip and the first time I stopped here for lunch they were out of Romaine but gave specific information about time for it being back (less than 5 minutes) and it was accurate. Went back another day and they recognized me and let me know immediately that romaine was ready to go and so were the mushrooms I asked for the last time.Only thing I would say is missing is a Greek style dressing both times I went, however they have over 20 options so it's not a big deal.
Vegetarian options: It's a salad bar. Don't get the meat and you're good.
Dietary restrictions: It's a salad bar with many options to choose from.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no design or access issues that a wheelchair user would have to overcome as far as getting in or seating goes. However, you may need to request staff support for building your salad bowl as the counter is at or above the average waistline of the an adult.“

“This is a cute spot with very friendly staff, nice juices and delicious oats. I came here twice on my recent trip to NOLA and enjoyed their green juice and hot oats. The staff were welcoming and offered me water while I waited a few minutes for my oats to be prepared (a nice touch since it’s hot out). I noticed there were three small tables outside, and one table inside. I took my oats to go, however sitting outside might be nice if you're looking to start your day right after. If you’re staying at a hotel and want a healthy breakfast, this is the place to go!“
“The ppl here are very friendly and make you feel like family. The food is really good.
Vegetarian options: Great smoothies
Dietary restrictions: I ordered a turkey burger with turkey bacon and I fell in love. My fav is the fish salad
Parking: Big parking lot
Kid-friendliness: My nephew was given a little toy truck and a basketball while we waited for our order. They guys were really nice!“

“The smoothies are delicious, the yeah wit da yeah is one of my favorites. Although i did not feel welcomed by the 2 female employees whom i greeted (and they did not reply) . One of them was hiding behind the napkins on the counter until i came closer. They both looked as if i needed to hurry up and order and leave. And there was no traffic in the establishment.“

“Great place for breakfast, menu has changed some what, less omelet selection, grits are a little runner spread out onto the plate looks like more but less. I ordered fish and grits w/eggs. Instead waiter brought me a bowl shrimp and grits with eggs on the side. I ask where is the fish she said oh! Yes came back with the fish. I told her I had ordered fish and grits, no sir you ask for shrimp and grits. Anyway the food taste good my guess were happy, In the end so was I. 9/04/23.“

“What a diamond in the rough! The owner brought out a little setup and made our guacamole dip in front of us while he told us stories of his place and how it started. He was as much of the experience as an authentic Mexican restaurant in the middle of Cajun land. The food was great and came out quickly. If you like Mexican food, this is definitely a stop for you while in New Orleans. We got the taco plates with beef.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“

“Best red beans and rice I've ever tasted. Everything was delicious even the strawberry lemonade was excellent. They sold out of gumbo, but I'll make sure I'll get some today before heading back to Kentucky tomorrow. Family own restaurant and they are very kind and passionate about their business. A must try while in New “

“I enjoyed my visit to Chill Out Cafe! I had a bowl of their Tom Kha and I enjoyed it. I had never seen tomatoes or carrots in this dish from any other Thai restaurant before, but I enjoyed the flavors of this addition. The calamari was deliciously crunchy. Our whole table ordered bubble tea but unfortunately they did not have enough boba left, as it was the end of the day. The thai tea and coffee was delicious regardless. I would come here again, and I hope to try their breakfast soon!“

From Alberta we know about the AAA grade beef and this place is phenomenal when it comes to the steak! ? ? “OMG!!! I came to this place on a whim this morning. This is the best food I have had from a cafe joint in a very long time. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese with a Salad and it was DIVINE! Well cooked, nicely seasoned. A pleasant Saturday surprised. I highly recommend this small cafe on St. Claude, located a block from Fredrick Douglass High School. Oh, and the vibes are heavenly.
Parking: It was a Saturday at lunch time. Plenty parking, no problem.“

“This is exactly what you need to balance the alcohol that you have imbibed at the surrounding places. The slices are huge, and they also have cocktails, so you can enjoy them as well. If you have big hands, you can fold the slice, but you can ask them to cut it in half as well.“
