“100%. Best dive I hit while here. Saw a top notch drag show after a friend's wedding. They don't skimp on the booze like a lot of places I visited and the service was the friendliest I had while down here. Excellent little gay bar on the outskirts of the quarter.“

“Bartender from small town in Texas wearing cowboy hat was the reason we came in. He’s so nice and cool. Makes drinks well. Great to talk to. Very intelligent and caring. Wife and I enjoyed chatting with him. We ordered more so we could stay longer and tip higher. Cash only-AtM inside. Small bar but it’s amazing how many fresh ingredients he has at bar. Very pleased with experience.“

“Loved this bar so much! Super laid back queer bar. My friend and I went there to grab a quick drink. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The vibe felt very inclusive of different LGBTQIA+ people, and they were playing some great movies. I also think there's a backyard? (It was too cold so we didn't venture out). Great neighborhood staple.“

“Great LGBTQ+ friendly bar. Friendly staff. Karaoke is a bit loud for my taste. The karaoke MC position needs new blood in my opinion. Just too loud and crass. Needs new auto tune technology. But everything else great. Beautiful and classy up grade from the old Double Play.“

“We made this place a stop on our celebration of my youngest's 21st birthday pub crawl, and enjoyed our visit and drinks! We went upstairs where we could toss some beads from the balcony and had a great drink and chat with the bartender, who gave us some good ideas on other places to visit. Everyone was friendly, the place felt clean, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you for being part of our evening!“

“My husband and I went here for the burlesque show and had a blast. The service for seating and bar were excellent. It is a small venue, and while our show was not to capacity, I am sure it would be a tight squeeze with a full house [this is the only downside]. We would definitely come back for another visit.“

“We were visiting New Orleans, and on one of our adventures, the driver recommended Good Friends Bar for their speciality drink, the separator. We decided to go check it out. Loved the atmosphere, the server was very nice, I wish I had caught his name, and the separator was delicious ? . This was our last night in New Orleans, so we went back after dinner to have another. Definitely a place to visit.“

The Corner Pocket Gay Bar • $

“This place is a breeding ground for narcissism, various types of unhealthy relationships. A place that encourages adults to behave badly without consequence, whether it’s on a conscious level or not. It’s sickening. In 2019, I relocated to Seattle thinking it would be a great city to settle in. It appeared to be family orientated and progressive so I thought I could showcase Hip-hop dance, which is an art-form that I have been trained in and have the ability to represent in a classical light through technique and education. I consider myself privileged in knowing the art form of Hip-hop and plan to share this with others. Unfortunately, I was wrong about Seattle. It can be very oppressive towards minorities. As an African American, who is on the spectrum, I participate in an industry that is culturally oppressed. As a way to support myself through my studies and a way to have income with my disability, I am a massage therapist, also known as a SEX WORKER sometimes. I have had to overcome many challenges, just like many others, in various areas both personal and social including mysogny, oppression, narcissism, racism, white supremacy, and oppression. Upon my relocation to Seattle, I met a former VP for #Zullily, who is a current executive at #RadpowerBikes, as a sex worker client. The client decided that he wanted to engage in a type of relationship that was based on narcissistic gaming, through various techniques like ghosting and deceit, then later flip it to make me look like the narcissist, which is much worse than gaslighting someone, after attempting to force himself onto me and had me charged with sex crimes. Narcissists often sit in high power positions. We all know the notorious Donald Trump who is the extremist in this case and does not need to hide it. Yet, in daily interactions we come into contact with those who do, and we have to develop the awareness, by paying attention to their nuances; verbal and non verbal signals, otherwise we are just used as pawns by friends, coworkers or bosses. Speed of speech, breathing patterns and body language are how we extract this information. There is so much you can tell just from how a person walks. For example, They want you to think they are gentle but it’s a mask for how they walk on gold, or someone who speaks fast will appear enthusiastic and excited, but it's also telling that they don’t have the patience to slow down for you and that you need to catch up to them. Once you start to assess these things around you, you begin to see the depth it runs in people. It’s sickening. Another tactic is they lower your defenses and gain your trust by making you feel that they have your best interests at hand and that they are your friend. Hip-Hop was created on August 11,1973 by Clive Campbell. It is an African American born art form. Majority of those who participated in the creation ended up in jail or were former gang members. Granted, there are some dangerous people out there but the majority of them are not. The majority of African Americans are taught as children not to trust white people. I was not one of them as I was raised by a racist white woman from Scotland who stripped me of my culture and basic human rights. I had to learn this differently. People like my oppressor in Seattle take advantage of the skewed justice system to hold power over others and keep them from rising up. Both prison and Hip-hop cultures are reactions and responses to white supremacy. I went to prison because my oppressor in Seattle. He did not care about me as a person, he cared about his dick and continually used me over and over again. It made him feel even more powerful over me being able to manipulate the court system along with my lack of knowledge. He flashed his money in court through the lies told in the courtroom to gain pity and exploit me and the situation. In August 1965 in southern California, the Watt Riots occurred in reaction to police brutality in a predominately African American neighborhood. After the rioting settled down, the city was in a great “

The Page Bar Gay Bar • $$

“Walked into this dive to meet a class of tour guides to explore the Quarter. The Christmas music was blaring as I walked in, and one of the regulars was belting out the song better than Mariah Carey. There was one bartender and just a handful of others that night, but it was a random Wednesday in December, so I wouldn't have expected too much at that early-ish hour. Once we all got there and had ordered a couple of drinks, we were able to meet the bar manager/owner who told us the history of the building and all of its incantations before becoming what it currently is. It was fascinating to hear about the 300 years of evolution that the building has gone through, and the staff there was so much fun to talk to and learn from. Also, as I would hope for most dives - the drinks were strong and plentiful. It was a great way to start out our evening.“

Oz New Orleans Gay Bar • $$

“What a great place to get a drink in the French Quarter !When my partner and I arrived it was PACKED with happy smiling customers. A great sign but I anticipated some type of wait.Oz proved me wrong! The cute bartender greeted my partner and I right when we walked in, welcomed us to the bar, and took our order. The drinks were tasty, cold, and well mixed. The bar has a nice stage for performances but we went too early to see. This has nothing to do with anything but they have a 15 foot skeleton at the front door that made me laugh ? I really wish I could give more than 5 stars; I was having a bad day and Oz turned it around“
