Went on the recommendation of a local and I’m so glad I did! Went with a group of friends and we all felt welcomed. Two of us don’t drink liquor and the bartender whipped up an impromptu mocktail for us! Shoutout to Mike and Daddy Mark for their hospitality :)
Love the Phoenix. Been visiting since the 80s. Ignore the suspect negative reviewers who scour businesses online, give them negative reviews...to destroy them. And they come in all shapes, genders, and shades. Protect your safe spaces from rabble-rousers who live to divide. Cheers!
Phoenix bar was an absolute blast to visit during my vacation in New orleans. It has a welcoming Vibe with plenty of locals who were super friendly and easy to talk to which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a gay bar that's a little different from the usual spots this is definitely worth the walk from the French quarter.
