Lagniappe Bakehouse is a quaint uptown Nawlins bakery in an ongoing up and coming area of the city. They craft all of their baked goods on site and it’s obvious someone has real skill. This is a cozy bakery just off the street with fantastic pastry options. It is by far the best, most interesting dine-in bakery experience. Fresh baked goods, good coffee and friendly service. The menu is mostly croissants served in a variety of ways, including a croissant with pecan, coconut and filled with a pecan paste. The Grain of Paradise bun was unlike any pastry ever tasted, and the foccacia was also amazing. The Benne Toffee and Savory Twist with an Iced Africano are highly recommended. The cold brew was very delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. The location is small and there could be a bit of a wait, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Very welcoming - no trip to NOLA would be complete without a visit.
