Cafe Du Monde Reviews
We always try to go here when we are in New Orleans. Last weekend we took my niece for her first visit and she left her purse that was filled with all of her makeup. She was so upset because we are 5 hours away and she was starting school this week. I called the next morning and they located the bag and overnighted it to us! What a blessing! That is great customer service.
Visited the Metairie location and they kept the $2 change, the place stunk like bathrooms which were nasty, they refused to serve us on plates, workers were playing with the dough like it wasn’t food. Called the manager who could have didn’t care. Skip this nasty place and visit shipleys instead.
The food was good. Cash Only the service was Bad and restrooms were nasty.

Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans is a must-stop spot for anyone visiting the city. Known for their delicious beignets, which are light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, this cafe maintains consistent quality across all locations. The Decatur Street location is cash only, and the staff provides fast and friendly service, even when it's busy. Despite long lines, the staff works hard to keep things moving. The coffee is surprisingly good, especially the hot chicory coffee, with some guests also enjoying the frozen chicory coffee. It's a unique and fun experience, perfect for a quick snack or meal. With powdered sugar everywhere and live performers creating a lively atmosphere, it’s a delight for the senses. Whether someone is part of a party of six or just stopping by for a solo visit, Cafe Du Monde is a must-visit spot in NOLA, and it's worth visiting multiple times. The busy and loud environment adds to the charm, making it a place where customers can enjoy traditional beignets and good coffee while soaking in the jazz music.
