Cafe Maspero Reviews
Ordered a hamburger - it was terrible. Couldn't eat more than one bite then they still charged me for it. Will not be back here again.
My husband and I ate here tonight. This was my first place to eat at in New Orleans (first time visitor) and it absolutely did not disappoint. We waited a bit for our food but it was a fun atmosphere so we didn’t mind. The food was WELL worth the wait! I had the Pasta Jambalaya and it was a 5/5! Highly recommend!
Delicious food! Had the French onion soup and it was the best! Service and waitresses and host were great! Super friendly! Will definitely recommend and will be back if ever back in New Orleans!

Cafe Maspero offers an authentic New Orleans experience with delicious food and attentive service. The knowledgeable staff strive to make visitors feel welcome, and the kitchen manager is particularly friendly and entertaining. The big breakfast is a highlight, with guests praising the "very very delicious" flavors. While some servers may be abrupt, the overall atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a great spot for families and those seeking a local experience in the French Quarter.
The restaurant has received mixed reviews recently. Some customers enjoyed the tasty French onion soup, though the chicken Caesar salad was not well-received, with issues like the use of shredded mozzarella and Kraft Parmesan instead of the traditional Caesar dressing. However, other diners praised the amazing food and great ambiance, with the service catering to the entire family. A standout was the cook named August, who impressed a customer with his quick, efficient work in the open kitchen and the perfection of the hot, fresh food.
