“The waiter/person who took my order was great, and when i asked for a vegan burger, he made sure to ask how i wanted the burger, if i wanted vegan cheese or not, if i wanted the order to be completely vegan or vegetarian... the burger was so delicious, i had to check if it was actually vegan. the fries were hot and fresh (so was the burger) and not greasy at all. i will definitely visit again. Only note is that when you enter, the Slap burger kitchen is to the right, and there is a tabletop counter with some stools, and a window to order, a pick-up window that gives a view of the cooks cooking while you wait. Only cash seems to be accepted at the bar for now. but Slap burger takes both form of payments. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-02“

“We stopped in to have a drink and a light bite. Our waitress was also the bartender, she told us to sit where we wish so we chose a table inside but by the patio area. There were two other couples dining there at the time as it was after lunch but before happy hour. After a few minutes she came by with a menu and asked us if we wanted to start with a drink. Since we just got the menu we asked for a few minutes to see what they had before making a decision. She came back 15 minutes later to take our order. We had the swamp balls (including fried gator bites) which were mushy and not particularly flavorful. It is a neat atmosphere, it wasn’t a great day but I imagine sitting on the patio on a nice day would be phenomenal. The price was very reasonable, for two drinks and an appetizer it was less than $25.Parking: Plenty of free parking.Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly, including a game room off the dining area.“

“This is not fancy, this is an epically perfect dive bar. We headed here in NOLA to watch MSU game for the tournament. There were plenty of TVs, comfortable seating, and we sat right at the bar. Bartender was attentive, knowledgeable, and hilarious. Also the drinks are NOT weak! The food was totally perfect, definitely recommend the pizza and the potato skins. We did a lot while in New Orleans but this was one of our fav experiences.“

“I was just at Okay Bar for a Persian New Year event and had the best time!! For a Tuesday night at any bar, I wasn't sure what to expect. As soon as I got there, it was music and good vibes flowing out the doors! I had a drink within minutes and into the vibrant crowd I went dancing haha. An amazing Persian food pop-up guest starring for the night called Baba Joon! Apparently they hadn't popped up since last Summer, so the people really came to support! Wasn't sure I'd get to try it with how popular they looked but they moved through the line quickly and I got to try a few dishes! Really glad I made it over to Okay Bar! More than okay with me! :)“

“Good value for a quick overnight stop and full nights rest. The hotel was very clean. Pillows and blankets very soft which the family liked a lot. Good water pressure. Location is easy proximity to explore tourist spots without being on the busy loud main drags. We took a 10 min petty cab bike ride to bourbon and walked all the way down and over to Frenchman. Chose a room with View of the river which was nice, the kids felt “fancy”. Only parking available is valet, but our dually truck was not accepted so we had to park overnight in the lot next door $40. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am on a Saturday which was annoying so do put on the do not disturb sign. AC was working well and strong but my husband said he noticed feeling stuffy from the vents.“

“We went to a lot French Quarter venues during our recent visit, and can say that the dueling pianos bar was the best of all. It is an absolute blast. Remember that it is a very popular spot so you need to arrive early to have much hope of getting a table. Pretty much everyone knows that this was the birthplace of the Hurricane, and I’m not sure you find any better version of it. This property also has a great outdoor courtyard area, as well as another inside bar in case you want a change of pace. Now that I’ve been, I get why people still pack the place in.
