“the other day was my first time going as it was recommended by a good friend. it is, hands down ,my new favorite establishment in new orleans! the staff were very friendly and welcoming. they were quick to point me to menu favorites that i,a meat eater, and my friend, a vegetarian ,both loved! I had the hot sausage burger and gumbo and my friend had the island veggie burger.any bar that throws down for Bowies birthday is tops in my book. the vibe is very true art forward as well as the patrons. .Even though I was new to a lot of the crowd it seemed like they were happy I was there. i will be back!10/10 stars.“

“The chicken is SOOOO SALTY. It was so overpowering I couldn't finish the salad. Everyone else enjoyed their food and the cocktails were really good! The bartender made some mean espresso martinis and I enjoyed the freshness of the cucumber in the cucumber mule :)“

“When I saw $21.95 for a 20oz ribeye I kinda chuckled in my head and expected a Waffle House type steak. I asked the waitress if it was good and she simply said “yeah, it’s good”. What transpired a few minutes later made me contemplate everything I thought I knew about a good ribeye. This thing was melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked, and had an absolutely astonishing flavor. Kick the price out the door. I live almost 4 hours away and would pay $80 for that steak as I type. It was so good I went back for another the next night. Gladly passing up all the other opportunities that NOLA has to offer. Weirdly the same people who we sat next to the night before were at the table next to us ordering the steak again. Astonishing what you get for the price. I could make a whole separate rant about how good the potato skins and gumbo are as well. Great job!!!! Best experience of our whole trip.“

“I have loved Deja Vu since the 1990's, and my visit there today didn't do anything to change that!
I had the Creole Trio: Shrimp Etouffee, Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya, and Red Beans n' Rice - served with buttery, toasted, French bread slices, and it was wonderful!
The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was upbeat & comfortable, just as it's always been.
The prices are incredibly reasonable - especially for the quality and QUANTITY of the food you receive.
Their breakfast menu items are available all day, and I believe that is what will get me back in there one more time before I leave!“
