After reading some of the reviews, I did not have high expectations of this place. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. From the time I walked in till the time I walked out all staff members were friendly and engaging. The ambiance was classy and relaxing. We have been here several times. The owner Doug is amazing. Food was very good. I must say the bartender seemed a bit in experienced. A martini is a basic bartender skill, the martini had to be sent back. But otherwise it was a awesome as usual

What an oasis! We live in NOLA but have another home in the Parish for work. There are many fantastic restaurants in Chalmette, but Meme's is our favorite.
