Good location.
It's a local spot so that was mainly the scene from my perspective.

“A great place, with great people, caring about their locals is something I witnessed a couple weeks ago. They allowed for a fundraiser to be set up for a patron dealing with a bout of cancer. It was a wonderful time and that speaks volumes about this establishment. More places should take note of this place and it's employees and owners. They give clearly give back what they put in when it comes to work, dedication, and drive.“

“I went to the Backspace Bar & Kitchen after getting in on a later flight and ordered a beer and shrimp po'boy. It was a super chill night - I was just one of a few folks in there around 8PM. The beer was wonderful, the bartender was so nice, and the whole vibe was just what I needed after a stressful day of travel. The shrimp po'boy was really good - really well seasoned and balanced nicely with fresh, crisp veggies and pickles.“

“Good value for a quick overnight stop and full nights rest. The hotel was very clean. Pillows and blankets very soft which the family liked a lot. Good water pressure. Location is easy proximity to explore tourist spots without being on the busy loud main drags. We took a 10 min petty cab bike ride to bourbon and walked all the way down and over to Frenchman. Chose a room with View of the river which was nice, the kids felt “fancy”. Only parking available is valet, but our dually truck was not accepted so we had to park overnight in the lot next door $40. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am on a Saturday which was annoying so do put on the do not disturb sign. AC was working well and strong but my husband said he noticed feeling stuffy from the vents.“

The crayfish eggroll with a light savory sauce was cooked to perfection and BBQ wings w/ celery sticks were the best. Food was served with a beautiful presentation. This spot is a hidden gem. “We ordered a lot of small plates and enjoyed every one of them. The charred broccoli was fantastic and we paired it with a side of rice to soak up all of that great sauce. The Salad was great, but I think the beets could have been cooked longer and it would have made the dish better. The sweet potato was perfect. We enjoyed our fresh strawberries served in an antique tea cup with a side of homemade chocolate. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are needed for this restaurant and all of the good restaurants in New Orleans“

“We have not had the warmest welcome here in New Orleans and encountered some awful people during our first night where we stayed downtown.So directly across the street from our @airbnb for the week, we happened upon this gem! We were joined by our house host, greeted with big smiles, warm hugs and generous handshakes then fed some complimentary soul food! Our best experience in NOLA so far! I want more of this!“
