“Have been here a few times. Only twice to dine in for soup and multiples to pick up eggrolls to go. Food is delish but those eggrolls, oh my!! I feel like with all things, everything was better back in the day. Had these recently and they were still so tasty!!“

“This restaurant earned a review before you even taking a single bite -- and J&J Seafood is exactly that kind of place.

We stumbled upon J&J on Yelp while visiting from out of town for a volleyball tournament. The reviews were great, and the fact that it's a standalone, independent restaurant -- not a chain -- made it even more appealing. We were so eager that we pulled up before they even opened and waited in the parking lot. No shame.

Here's where we went wrong: we hadn't done our homework. J&J is takeout only -- no dine-in. Since we were heading out of town that same day with no hotel room to return to, sitting down to eat simply wasn't an option for us. We had to make the tough call to find somewhere else.

But here's what made all the difference -- the gentlemen who opened that morning were absolutely wonderful. Despite our situation, they welcomed us in without hesitation, made sure we had a place to sit while we figured out our next move, and never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. When we explained we'd have to leave, they were completely gracious and understanding about it. Warm, genuine, and patient -- like a family member who's just happy you stopped by, even without calling first.

I left without eating a single thing, and I'm still thinking about this place. J&J Seafood, you have a customer for my next Louisiana visit -- and that's a promise.“

“Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had! The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering how good the quality of the food is.

Honestly, this is one of those hidden gems I almost don’t want to tell anyone about because I want to keep it to myself 😂 But the food is just too good not to share. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Definitely try the orange chicken. Unlike a lot of other places where you get mostly breading with barely any chicken inside, the pieces here are actually packed with meat. You can really tell they don’t cut corners on quality.

“We were there with a group of 13 and even added to our group street we ordered and our server was wonderful! She kept everything straight and made us feel very welcome. All the food was great too! We love the quiet atmosphere where we can enjoy each other's company without loud background music.“

“I was in NOLA attending a wedding and wanted to pick up live blue crabs to take home to Atlanta. I had made arrangements so I thought with another crab company and that did not work out. I was able to find Danny & Bonnie's seafood online and gave them a call. The woman was very kind and told me that they would most likely be able to accommodate me and would call me back. She called me back not even 5 minutes later to let me know that they would be able to accommodate my 7 dozen request and this was a holiday weekend. I was able to pick up my crabs the next day without any problems. When I tell you that these were the freshest crabs that I've had! I will be forever grateful for the last minute order fulfillment. And my surprise was that they sold fresh cracklin. I only purchased half a bag and I should have purchased a full bag or more. I can't wait to be able to purchase from them again. I highly recommend this establishment!! You won't regret it.“

“This is a bakery, but serves some local foods as well. No set menu. We got the mini pies. They were around $3 each and delicious. If you want a whole pie, you have to order one day before. All the food is pick up and take home only. I highly recommend!“

When it came time to pay, we left an 18% tip, which is a standard and fair amount. However, the waitress confronted us and said the minimum tip should be 20%, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Tipping should always be optional and based on the customer’s experience—not something to be enforced or demanded.

It’s unfortunate because the food was enjoyable, but this interaction left a negative impression and overshadowed the overall experience. I hope management addresses this, as no customer should feel pressured or insulted when paying their bill.“

“Decided to try this establishment as we have passed it for a while. It may have said it was a Red Bird fried 🐔🍗 chicken but also was a daiquiris shop. Ordered our food, wife got a chicken sandwich 🥪 with fries 🍟 and I got a breast and wing with fries 🍟. After a short time our food was served. Wife got what she ordered and I got a drumstick 🍗 and a back, completely opposite of what I ordered. Upon going back to the register the manager asked what was wrong and I explained what was wrong and said immediately corrected the problem. Kudos to the manager. The young man that took out order was wearing dark sunglasses 😎 while he took out order and afterwards he took them off. Food was hot 🥵 and tasty.“

“It has the most modest store front and decor and very sweet woman came and greeted us and was so pleasant. The food was delicious, the duck was incredible, the Pho Tia broth was scrumptious, one of the best I've ever tried. It was calm , clean, comforting and we left with full bellies, heart and a smile.
