“Headed to New Orleans in July, and Sweet Vegan Soul Food will be my first stop after leaving the airport. This will be my third visit to this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! The facility is clean and the staff is so friendly. When traveling I’m always excited to locate a tasty vegan restaurant and this place is my spot when in New Orleans! I can’t rave about it’s food enough…simply delicious!“

I have to say, the owner was incredibly kind. Her customer service was impeccable, and she immediately offered to make it right. The only thing she asked was that I return the food, which I thought was completely fair.

We talked for a while, and she thanked me for giving her the opportunity to address the issue instead of bashing her business online. That conversation showed me how much she genuinely cares about her customers and her reputation.

The front was totally open and there were a few tables outside on the sidewalk. As the strip is super active, sitting outside would be dope if you wanted to people watch. LoL. Walking up to the counter, each register had a cashier so the line was running smoothly. Taking a moment to review the menu, it was as one would anticipate; simple, straightforward, and one dimensional. The highlight of Willie’s definitely appears to be the Daiquiri’ as there are many options. I decided on the 3pc Cajun Tender Combo which comes with Fries and a Honey Biscuit. I also added a side of Red Beans and Rice. I mean, it is NOLA so I had to do it. I placed my order. Received my number. And took a seat to await my order. The restaurant was clean and vibrant. The yellow and red throughout the restaurant really set an upbeat tone that pairs well with the neon lights and vibrant colors of the Daiquiris. Once my order was ready, it was delivered to the table and I was good to go. Let’s talk the Food: Biscuit - Simple. Buttery. Crunchy around the bottom edges. Soft in the middle. Nothing special to note. Reminds me of a biscuit from Church’s. I’ll say 7/10. Tenders - Big. Juicy. Crunchy on the outside. Well seasoned. That’s it. That’s all I got. 😂😂😂😂😂😂. I’ll say 5/10.
