“When we arrived at the Royal Sushi Bar, there wasn’t any hostess, but the bartender advised us that we could sit anywhere and a server would be with us shortly. On the outside you can’t really tell it’s a Japanese restaurant, however when you walk in the atmosphere was completely different. The Japanese art was very unique and lifted the atmosphere on the inside. You can tell their designer took their time to create this look!Once we were seated our server Mathew was very polite and even assisted us with picking items off the menu.During this time unfortunately one of our original items we picked wasn’t available, but he surprised us with a delicious Japanese tuna ceviche. We couldn’t finish all of the dishes we ordered so we took some to go.Overall all it was a delightful experience to dine there, it a must try when you go to New Orleans!Vegetarian options: There are a few in the menu.Dietary restrictions: The server asked if we had and to ensure he assisted.Parking: We were able to park on the street side of the building close to the restaurant.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Definitely off the beaten track, but well worth the trip. One of those little "hole in the wall" sort of spots (but, immaculately clean) that are so often associated with good neighborhood sushi places in Japan. If you're a real fan of sushi (especially nigiri and sashimi) just do yourself a favor and try this place. I'm glad I did.“
“Yo Nashi provided a top 3 food experience for my girlfriend and I. The omakase style of menu (chefs choice) allowed us to branch out and enjoy a wide array of food we wouldn't have ordinarily tried. Each of the 7 courses were perfectly crafted and cooked. I will never forget my night here. The whole staff was friendly and attentive and ensured the entire meal and experience was flawless. I cannot recommend Yo Nashi enough and will do so to anyone who can listen.“
“Best sushi in the city. Now mind you, I grew up in San Francisco and have lived in Los Angeles for over 25 years. I KNOW good Pacific quality sushi. This town blows for sushi. Gulf seafood is amazing! Pacific seafood is laughable. If you, like me, know and lust after something better... this is your answer. Ordered online through their website, tip, payment. Done. Walked in like a boss, said my name and walked out. Perfect pickup experience. I had places to be. They respect that. First time eating here so I danced around on the menu. My lady is diabetic, so rice free rolls are our litmus test. Can't hide behind that rice shield, dawg. They have two rice free rolls. Now I'm a gentleman so I take less than half the rolls we split, just so I can woo her with, "Please! This one is all yours!" I look like a boss. That's a pro tip, guys. She always does that delicate flower move of, "I'm so stuffed! Take the rest!" You know how it goes. Not this time amigo! I had two of six and she's going after that fourth like it's Mardi Gras. The other was a rice paper thing with a cucumber hat and a touch of spice... had it's own special subtly sweet citrus dipping sauce. Insane! Talk about balance. Speaking of... tempura appetizer. Yeah, you already know what it looks and tastes like just by saying those words, right? Nope! A slice of lemon in the dipping sauce. Mind. F'ing. Blown. Seriously, why are you still reading this and not going there right now to eat their food!? I work ten minutes away. I'm seriously making this place a regular weekly lunch thing. If they aren't yelling my name, like Norm in Cheers, as I walk in for lunch, I'm taking that as a personal failure on my part. If you see me there shoveling rolls into my fat face, give me a fist bump and a knowing nod. You're welcome.“
“The place hasn't changed a bit....! It's pretty clean, a tad more expensive than I remember. Food has great quality as usual. Overall experience is the reason for the four stars and not five stars. Nothing that would keep me from being a customer.Parking: Depending on the time of day or events, the parking may be limited. It's street parking in a local neighborhood, steps from entertainment venues.“
“Amazing atmosphere! Great location In the heart of the CBD ! Super nice staff superb Food and menu options . Greta drink menu and nice bar area !Parking: They have a tower attachedKid-friendliness: Kid friendly food optionsWheelchair accessibility: Access to restaurant“
“Who knew the best california roll I ever eaten in my life was 20 minutes away from my front door? The garlic salmon was so good too. 2 ice cold Abita's and a great waiter made for the best night i could have ever asked for. Schwarzenegger voice, "I'll be back... for more Sushi." ?“
“This place is awesome! Regular here and the service is always top notch! The workers are so kind and efficient. They always get me what I need and ensure my dining experience is great! The drinks are good. The sushi here is splendid! Fish is fresh. The ramen broth is amazing here! I love the bbq pork with spicy tonkotsu ramen! The bar area is nice and private (separate from the indoor dining area). There’s also an outside dining area for good nature vibes. The owner is super cool too! I highly recommend this place for locals and tourists!!“
“Best Sushi in New Orleans! Amazing quality, good portions, and very nice service! The ambience is perfect for a quick lunch or nice dinner! Sake selection is good and the menu has options for everyone! Kids menu is perfect as well! Must try the sashimi here! Unagi is perfection too!“
“best poke in town! i treat myself to this spot as much as i can. always fresh and delicious. the staff and owner are lovely folks! great variety on the menu, and I want to try it all eventually. as an Asian American, this spot has exactly the comfort food I am looking for. I’m so glad it’s in town, and so conveniently located right off of st. claude. highly recommend!“
“Great dinner vibe if you're looking to kick off the night with some energy! Food is amazing, fresh, and vibrant! The music playlist is always on point! The staff works hard to ensure guests are accommodated and leave happy! Thank you for making each experience so wonderful and setting the stage for a fun night on the town! This is a popular downtown restaurant with a smaller kitchen. The restaurant tries their best to get food out as quickly as possible and will do everything possible to speed up the process while ensuring food quality remains high. Have a laissez les bons temps rouler and you're all set for a wonderful night!Dietary restrictions: Make staff aware of allergies and they will offer a ton of substitutions to make the dish as intended or provide a wonderful substitute!“
“This is the best Sushi in town, I can't even tell you how amazing this place is. A friend took me here for dinner a while back and I was just blown away. Carter was our server, he is too good, very attentive and proffesional. I will definetly be back.“
“Sushi and Sashimi creations of exceptional Flavor and Freshness! Cooked items are elevated fare. Yoshi is expert regarding preparation and selection of fresh product. I look forward to each visit! Servers are prompt, knowledgeable and sincere. Thank You, truly Ichiban!“
“We've gone here for years and we're never let down (which is sometimes hard to come by in the Quarter)! Excellent service and excellent food! I highly recommend the spicy edamame as an appetizer, the sauce that they put on it is incredible!“
“One of the better buffets in the are. Service is always prompt, curious and polite. The food selection should cover just about ones preference. It's fresh, hot, and well maintained. They will actually offer to fix sushi rolls, if you don't see what you like or offer their special rolls. Always a clean place to eat.Parking: Handicap painted parking at front door.“
“My favorite sushi in the city. Everything is always fresh and flavorful. I also get the Metairie roll and mango roll and they’re delicious every time. The drive thru window sets this place above everyone else. Makes getting takeout sushi so easy.“
“A good sushi place with high end sushi prices. We live right in the neighborhood and been here only a few times since they've opened. The sushi is good, and their fried rice and eggrolls are fantastic. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is ok, but not memorable.Problem for us is we leave feeling like we overpaid. For example, a basic snow crab roll is $9, add in tax and tip and you're looking at $12 for a single snow crab roll. Specialty rolls end up at $25 apiece final cost. If everything on the menu were $4-5 cheaper, this would be a fantastic place to get sushi. As is, it's a convenient neighborhood sushi spot, but maybe not the best place for value-minded guests.“
“I had a reservation for 10, and they were able to accommodate without any issues. The service was outstanding. They were attentive to everyone's needs. The food is always exceptional. You truly can't go wrong with anything there. I highly recommend this establishment for your Asian Cuisines desires!!“
“Clean restaurant, friendly service, tasty food and really great pricing, specifically the lunch specials. Will absolutely be back again! We had the hibachi steak and shrimp, chicken teriyaki bento box, edamame and a spicy tuna roll. All great!“
“It's not the fanciest place in town but gosh was this a great place to get food, I had fried tofu and the Spicy Ichimi Ramen and everything from the texture to the broth was killer. Nice lady working the counter took take out, to go, and dine in patrons and was very attentive. Sure the place is open and a little older but the feel was immediately outdone by the taste and speed which the meal was delivered. I cannot wait to go back“
“Listen up this place here should be on your list to eat at HANDS DOWN they blow my mind with the amazing consistency of the pineapple shrimp fried Rice and the crawfish rolls with the eel sauce make sure ask for a extra serving of eel sauce for the rice as well the combination makes my taste buds dance . This is my two must have everytime I go here. Keep up the great work guys!!“
“I’m a door dasher, i asked for a cup of free water before a delivery from their restaurant and the guy threw me a bottle water on the house. The food, the customers say is awesome. This was just in time because the workers at Auntie Anne’s wouldn’t give me a cup of water. Knowing I was delivering their product. Makes no sense?? This was a double delivery order.“
“Service is slooooooowwwwwwwe, even if the place is empty. The sushi is fresh, but the man making it was just shaping it with his bare hands then wiping his face which kind of grossed us all out. If you ask for a napkins they'll only bring you one. We asked twice. We got two. We drive in for sushi here about once a year; it hasn't been updated in the 20 years we've gone. The interior is really dilapidated. Sushi is always nice though. If you want a nice atmosphere then go somewhere else. If you just want pretty good sushi then give this a try,“
“A wonderful experience and summed up in one word, “fresh”. The potato salad, cabbage salad, blue fin sashimi, hand rolls, saké, and dessert were all top notch. Incredible flavors in everything we tried. Thank You for the delights, we’ll be back.“
