It's extremely well priced for omakase, we paid around $350 with many drinks for two, around 8-12 courses, all of which were spectacular. “This is our go to place for cheap sushi to go. It hard to find a menu online but we typically always get a Philly roll, Yellowtail and Scallion roll, and then a third special roll. Also a miso soup and house salad. It's usually never over $30“
“9/10 for overall experience at this location. Service was excellent, server was friendly and accommodating, and food came out quickly. All the food was cooked properly and was not cold when it arrived.
Sashimi and the regular and specialty sushi rolls all came out great.
The only issue we had was the sushi rice they used for the nigiri, which was god awful.
This place has the best value to quality ratio if you like rolls and having unlimited amounts of them plus other sides. May not be the highest quality of fish, but for the price it is unmatched, and I’ve been to many omakase and fancy sushi restaurants all over NY.
Also, way better than the Baton Rouge location.“

“Truly loved my experience here. Went on a cute lunch date with friends and immediately fell in love with the decor and ambience. Enjoyed the all you can eat sushi and the waitress was extremely nice. Sushi may be some of the best I've had in Nola so far. Definitely an underrated location for a cute lunch spot.“

“Chef Trevor is the kindest! The sushi is Amazing! I recently visited The restaurant for dinner after a long day of school my grandkids. And work myself. We were told by the hostess that there was an hour wait and that there was barely anywhere to sit so she advises that we could sit at the bar which we did the sushi bar that is. After waiting for some time Chef Trevor noticed that we were not being really engaged. He then asked me if the kids and I would like something to drink so what you said yes the hostess one of the waiters chef Trevor’s prompting, served us drinks as well as kept our cups filled Thank you! we were very grateful for the kindness that was bestowed upon us. The Hostess. After advising of the long wait, didn’t offer a drink of water nothing. Never engaged, never updated nothing. It was busy so I didn’t panic. We just waited. Chef Trevor was very attentive. Updating and very engaging! He made our visit a pleasure. Thank you Chef Trevor! I hope that you were able to Kater Annex sushi party!❤️❤️❤️“

“Great little hole in the wall, no frills spot. I have only tried the sushi so far and am impressed with the quality (especially of the raw salmon), portion sizes and really reasonable prices. I have been going once a week since I discovered them. Very sweet people as well. Definitely recommend!“

“I came in to place a to go order and the place was swamped with people picking up or trying to eat. Nick was very sweet and attentive to everyone, he offered me water after I was waiting for a few. The food ended up being delicious as well. Definitely will come back to try again!“

“Shogun is so great restaurant. I love Shrimp tempura appetizer including grilled shrimp. I also love fried rice and rice patties. The manager is so nice and friendly. Service is great and polite.“
