My wife and I have been loyal regulars for years, but our relationship with this restaurant had a rocky start. When we first visited, the food was incredible, but the customer service was lacking.
After taking a break, we decided to give them another try - and that is when we met Ian. He was our server that evening and we later discovered he was actually the manager, stepping in because they were short - staffed.

Yakuza House is a world-class Japanese restaurant known for its exceptional raw food combinations and top-notch service. The menu features creative and fresh dishes, including the Bluefin Tuna Flight and the highly recommended Butterfish. The restaurant offers great vegetarian options. Recent reviews highlight the phenomenal sushi that never disappoints. The crispy rice starter is super delicious, and guests love the "dressed" nigiri and the nigiri of the day specials. The blue crab and akami rolls are both excellent, and the sashimi and california rolls are also loved. This restaurant is always busy, a go-to spot in Metairie, and can stand up to many sushi places in Los Angeles. The Nigiri is the best some have had, an absolute amazing dinner and an incredible surprise. With a bright and classy atmosphere, it is a popular spot, so reservations are recommended.
