“We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.”

“Nice little sushi place. Pricey for the portions. Portions are very small, the presentation on the sushi was plain. Single sushi orders had a better presentation. The rice bowls had a good portion and presentation. Everything we tried was very good. The spicy sushi we tried was not at all spicy but was good. The salmon belly was really good and I recommend this highly. I was not highly impressed with the whole experience because I left hungry and would not return here for a second trip. The sushi portions are very small.”

But really I have a defined palette and am a harsh critic when it comes to food having spent 30 plus years in feeding high end palettes and traveling abroad. This is the best banh mi locally!”

“Awesome experience at NolaKorea. First time my family have ever been to a Korean restaurant. Went because my daughter wanted to try Korean food for her birthday dinner. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I had the dolsot-bibimbap which was superb. My wife had the chicken-galbi which was wonderful. My son and daughter-in-law had the ramen which they were very satisfied with. My daughter had the bibimbap which she loved and my other daughter had the beef-bulgogi which she raved about.The service was great. It is a very small place and very busy. The one server was on top of everything and very accomodating. It's not a flashy place, but the food is what takes center stage. Excellent place. I highly recommend.”
“1st time trying out Pho Orchid on Airline Highway in Metairie, La. I was just getting over being sick and wanted hot soup. I’m always passing this restaurant and had wanted to try it.Lately my son and I have been trying new restaurants so we decided to stop in. He had combination Pho and a Winter Melon drink that taste and smell like they pour a lot of maple syrup into milk and coffee and I had beef pho, chicken banh mi, and a Lemonade club soda. I added sriracha to my pho to make it spicy and the lemonade was really good.The price was reasonable and the food was good, I’ll definitely be going back.Parking: Parking is just off Airline highway and has decent parkingKid-friendliness: No restrictions or bars”

“When Ba Chi Canteen closed I was so sad, and made sure I visited Ba Chi Kitchen before I left NoLa this time!! I made a late night to-go order that I ordered several hours ahead, and the food was fresh and delicious. I was also met with the sweetest girl (I didn’t catch her name), and she was so sweet and friendly even though my order was scheduled 15 mins before close. They have my favorite bao in the city, I had the ba chi bacos and the bbq pork baco and they were just what I was looking for. Also, I’ve never had crispy gyoza before here and it’s probably my favorite menu item!”

We live on the northshore and had to go to the southshore for something and instead of stopping at Starbucks, we wanted to try something new! Definitely recommend. “My wife and I have really grown to love the Metairie Carrabba’s. When it originally opened years ago, we went once and were not impressed so despite leaving nearby we never went back. A friend mentioned it maybe 6-months ago and she swore it was pretty good so we gave it another chance and we are glad we did. We now maybe go 3 times or so a month. We had one problem with a server lately and I asked for a manager and Blake promptly solved the issue and took care of us the rest of the night. The food has always been very good, the service pretty quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Mel and Sara but with the exception of that one night the service has always been great too. I recommend Carrabba’s for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their “wine dinners” are also a hit for us. It’s nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!”

“I've been to loft 18 multiple times before, but when I started coming to Trivia Wednesdays I found a reason to return every Wednesday. I had the most wonderful waitress I've ever had wait on me at any bar or restaurant in my entire life. Her name is Angelle and she deserves a raise. She remembers my drink orders and gives the most amazing entree recommendations. Anytime my drink gets close to being empty there she is asking if I'd like another. When i finish my food she is right there ready to clear my table to make room for trivia sheets. Angelle is perfection in waitress form!!! I may come for Trivia, but I return every week because of your wonderful employee Angelle!!!”

“This place is the jam! So happy to have experienced delicious high quality Thai food in the city. Ive been on a mission to find a good Thai go to, and this may be it! The drunken noodles were some of the best ive had and the salad dressing should be bottled and sold, so yummy and peppery. My only complaint was the service, it wasn't horrible but i had to get up twice to find the waitress to ask for things. I was one of two tables so that's hard to accept. Saying that, the food was incredible and the chef came out and was adorable and very warm. Will definitely give service another try or just do take out, but regardless will be back!Vegetarian options: Easy to leave off the protien anld make it veggie!Parking: At the time i went for lunch, there was plenty of street parking as well as an adjacent lot”

Our server and liaison on-site, Aaran, was extremely helpful as was Phillip who answered questions we had once we arrived and during the event. Aaran was responsive and rolled with all the punches we threw his way during the event from second servings of food, custom order off-menu, and late arrivals from guests thus late food orders. All food service was prompt and everyone we encountered was so helpful and kind. We will definitely be back!”

So not worth the price unless you have money to spend or it’s a special dinner. Picture on online ordering is misleading with the dinner plate. “I have passed this restaurant a few times and always wanted to try it. Last night I finally did. I was fist very impressed with the staff, everyone was so friendly and attentive(rare these days). I am Italian, so it is hard to find a place that is better than grandma’s home cooking, as well as my own. I must say, we ordered the Italian salad, chicken and Alfredo, the chicken parm and the filet. Hats OFF to the Chef!!!! Not to mention, the amount of food for the price was amazing, no room for dessert and lots of leftovers. Will visit again and bring the family.”

“don't go here unless you want to sit and wait for over. hr to still not even get your food. and then you get threatened by the staff. horrible service We arrived at this location at 1230. The restaurant was empty it. Took 10 mins before we were even sat at a table. Then another 20 mins before the waiter came and took our order. We waited another 10 mins asked for our drinks and the waiter has a smart comment ( wait and see how long it takes you to get your drinks now since we asked for them) then another waiter came up and had to take the whole order again since the first one never put it in the system. We sat there for a whole hr and other customers amd in and received there food and left before we even got ours. After a hr I asked the waitress about out food and she told me another 30 mins. I don't understand why I have to wait over a hr and a half to get food at 1 am when the restaurant was empty. Pluss when we told her to cancel the order the first waiter started laughing and threatening us.”

Everything was so good, especially the soup and surprisingly the cucumbers (my husband doesn't even like cucumbers but enjoyed these). Especially considering the price, this was a really nice lunch. Service was pretty quick here! But also be aware, this is not a place to bring a large group to. It is tiny and can really only seat like 2-4 at a time, maybe 5 if you don't need the elbow room. Definitely better for a quick lunch date than a group meal.”

“First time to Moe’s, but definitely not the last. Being somewhat of a BBQ snob, I have been looking for a location to replace NOLA Smokehouse since it closed down. Tried CCBBQ for awhile since Chef Rob from NOLA Smokehouse was part owner, but once Chef Rob left, it was pointless to continue going. For such a small place, Moe’s has a lot to offer. Everything I tried from the menu was exemplary, the staff is super-friendly and fast, and the location provides a clean/relaxing atmosphere to enjoy their food. Definitely worth the trip, and not too expensive.”

“We had never tried crawfish and were a little nervous about what to do. The first person that helped us was great. She gave us some crawfish to try. The second person was also great. He showed us how to peel them and helped us order the right amount. It was delicious. Someone came in while we were eating and said that it was the best crawfish he’s ever had. I’ll take his word for it!”

The gal who served me was so kind friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted. There is a sign explaining a 3 sample limit, and I didn't see it until after my 8th sample probably, but she never once gave me a dirty look or refused me a sample. I did apologize to her for not seeing the sign and asking for more samples. She was completely sweet about it and did not make any kind of deal over it. And this place was jam packed with a line out the door and she was still the best. Awesome customer service! I highly recommend this place for dessert. It was a bit noisy because there were so many people inside, but other than that, fantastic place”
“I got the Chicken Katsu Banh Mi. I asked for the hoisin sauce to go along, but after taking the first bite without sauce, I saw that it didn't need the sauce at all. It was great without it. This sandwich is topped with Tokatsu sauce, Japanese kewpie mayo, and Furikake seasoning. These are Japanese ingredients, so this is a Vietnamese sandwich version of a Japanese dish. A Japanese Banhi MI in a way. And it was really good. The fried chicken on this sandwich is just as any Japanese fried chicken I've had before. I really recommend this sandwich and I very much look forward to taking another visit to Banh Mi Boys, because if this sandwich was that tasty, then I am sure the others have a lot to offer as well. There were several televisions on and all playing different sports balls games. The parking lot is kind of tricky. If you park in front, the only way out is via Causeway just south of Veterans where the traffic is all together to filter back on Causeway, or the service road and I-10. So be aware of your surroundings.”

Also didn't realize they were ONLY AYCE, which put a pin in our 'eat light' plans. Given it's Korean BBQ, those were silly ideas anyway. I unbuckled my belt and went all in anyway. 1st round was bulbolgi beef, marinated pork and head on shrimp. The pork had some real kick to it, the beef was excellent, but the shrimp were the winners. Last round was marinated pork belly and short ribs. The short ribs were my second favorite of the evening. Everything was good even if slightly Americanized. You're not going to find the charcoal grills or a bunch of *odd cuts, but they still had a decent banchan. They also have squid and octopus if you're feeling *adventurous, but no DoGaNi or Yukhoe type dishes. There are buzzers to call wait staff, but ours was fairly attentive, even at the end of the night. They came around and changed our grill plates and asked if we needed refills. We both enjoyed it even if it was more than we planned on eating.”

“Now..I had been driving to Veterans for my quick fix although I stay closer to THIS location and the one near the movies. However, the weather was bad on 4-10-24, so I decided on this location and omg, this is the spiciest Popeyes chicken that I’ve tasted in YEARS, literally. The lady (I believe is older) on the headset was very kind..greeted me and was chipper. This was approx @ 10A! The younger person at the window wasn’t as pleasant but based on the other lady’s customer service and professionalism, I may return.”

I tried three sauces the red arbol the red tomatillo and the guaca salsa. All were delicious but the red arbol is what spicy should be. Enough to make you sit up and take notice but not ruin the rest of your meal. This is way far from my house but I will be back.”

“don't go here unless you want to sit and wait for over. hr to still not even get your food. and then you get threatened by the staff. horrible service We arrived at this location at 1230. The restaurant was empty it. Took 10 mins before we were even sat at a table. Then another 20 mins before the waiter came and took our order. We waited another 10 mins asked for our drinks and the waiter has a smart comment ( wait and see how long it takes you to get your drinks now since we asked for them) then another waiter came up and had to take the whole order again since the first one never put it in the system. We sat there for a whole hr and other customers amd in and received there food and left before we even got ours. After a hr I asked the waitress about out food and she told me another 30 mins. I don't understand why I have to wait over a hr and a half to get food at 1 am when the restaurant was empty. Pluss when we told her to cancel the order the first waiter started laughing and threatening us.”

“Nice little sushi place. Pricey for the portions. Portions are very small, the presentation on the sushi was plain. Single sushi orders had a better presentation. The rice bowls had a good portion and presentation. Everything we tried was very good. The spicy sushi we tried was not at all spicy but was good. The salmon belly was really good and I recommend this highly. I was not highly impressed with the whole experience because I left hungry and would not return here for a second trip. The sushi portions are very small.”
