Honduran Restaurants near Metairie, LA

“Fantastic food. Ordered the pupusas, the costilla de res asada, and an order of flan. Everything was delicious. I've had good flan and I've had bad flan in my life, but for me, this was the best I've ever had. Will definitely go back. And with everything going on right now, I hope a lot of people show up and support them!“

“Absolutely amazing experience! The food here is some of the best Honduran cuisine I’ve had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, authentic, and made with care. The flavors were rich and comforting, just like a homemade meal.
Everything perfectly made, the meats were well-seasoned and tender, and the portions were generous. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in every dish that comes out.
The service was also fantastic friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in. The staff made us feel right at home and were happy to help with recommendations.
If you’re looking for authentic Honduran food with great service and a warm atmosphere, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be coming back!“

“Venimos desde Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Pasamos por este restaurante y la comida está muy sabrosa. La sopa de mariscos muy deliciosa! Ubicación cerca del aeropuerto. Recomendado!“

“They have the best Honduran food I ever ate at a restaurant! I will be going back everytime we are in Louisiana !! I had the tacos they were so good ! Hands down recommend food is the best!“

“I’m from NYC so I have only tried mostly Dominican, Cuban, Mexican, Peruvian or PR restaurants but this was my first time trying a Honduras style restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! I’m a truck driver and usually only am around fast food joints but this is a nice proper sit down restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I was here for breakfast and ordered the 2 egg platter with ham steak, tortilla, beans, avocado, plantains, butter and cream cheese. Everything arrived on my table was fresh, the ham was a nice thick (1/2 - 3/4”) piece and the service was friendly with a smile. Also the portions were just perfect for breakfast. Not too big but enough to feel full and ready to start my day.“

“The food is quite good and healthy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean. The prices are a bit high compared to the average for Central American restaurants. I have tried the Carne Asada Mixta, the Pescado Frito, and the Agua de Jamaica there; everything was delicious.“

“Muy deliciosa la comida recomendado“

“Stopped in to get lunch, Stephen & I just loved it! Pupusas were good as was the liver dinner, but the empanadas were off the hook! So good we couldn’t wait and ate them right the in the parking lot, lol! Also important, every one was wearing masks, keeping distance, staff and customers, thank you so much for that.“

“la COMIDA las NOCHES DE KARAOKE vienes y domingo Y La muy buena ATENCIÓN“

“This was recommended to me for Honduras food. It did not disappoint. My friend who recommended it translated the menu for me. Most of the items I understood from seeing them elsewhere. Not knowing how to speak Spanish did not stop me from ordering over the phone to take out. They were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious!“

“The food was absolutely amazing! All 3 of us were extremely happy with our plates. We got the grilled beef plate, the onion steak plate, two baleadas with shredded chicken, tostones, and sweet plantains. Prices were very fair for the amount of food. Definitely try them out!“

“La Orquídea Restaurant is a gem where the owner and staff greet you with open arms, making every visit feel special. The authentic cuisine is a delight, perfectly complemented by the lively atmosphere of their soccer tournament broadcasts. Don't miss out on their coconut soup—it's an absolute must-try. A wonderful experience through and through!“

“i work super close to la cocinita and my work bestie and i get their food twice a week and we are obsessed. first of all, the sweetest man ever answers the phone and takes our order. customer service is 10/10. second, the food is so bomb. big ole portions and i once almost ate the plate. would recommend 💞“
