“Coming from Seattle, where there is a lot of Asian food especially Thai food. It’s hard to find a very good Thai restaurant in the south. This place is good still different from what I’m used to, the noodles were still not as flat as I usually eat when I’m in Seattle these noodles are on the chewy side. The sauce reminded me more of a chow fun. The chicken pieces were OK. He was nothing special, but overall friendly service large menu with lots of vegetarian options.“

“Queen Curry to the rescue. I have been craving Pad Thai for a WHILE. I got the lunch special portion with grilled pork, and they allowed me to swap out the salad for an additional spring roll (props to the sweetest owner for doing that!). Go check this place out!“

“We were blown away by our experience here. First of all it felt very upscale for the price--nice flatware, plating, and decorations! They have a fully vegan menu if you flip to the back which is several pages long. I'm only sad we couldn't try more so I will definitely be back. We decided to get the tofu satay appetizer which was perfectly crispy on the outside and very soft in the middle with a delicious dipping sauce. For mains, I ordered the pumpkin curry with 5-spice tofu. This tofu was much firmer/different texture and seasoned differently than the satay which I really appreciated that they have multiple preparations! It was so tasty and the curry was incredibly flavorful. My partner had the jackfruit curry and it was their first time having jackfruit. They really liked it, and I did, too! Everything was so beautifully prepared and yummy. We also enjoyed the blooming tea which was so pretty to watch open up in front of us at the table. I can't forget to mention that they always have vegan desserts!! They had many options this time including a vegan chai cheesecake (I wanted to try the pistachio one but someone before us took the last slice--darn!) which was heavenly. Even the water is flavored with a little pandan which was such a nice touch. It's not a huge place so I think a reservation is definitely preferred. Besides that I have no notes. Can't wait to return and try the rest of the vegan menu!“

“This is a really good locally owned Thai restaurant just a few blocks outside the French Quarter. I got the Crab Rangoon and the gyoza as appetizers, and they were amazing! For dessert, I loved the Umi cheesecake so much I got a second slice. I also found the chandeliers and the detailed mural made the space feel classy but still casual. The service was also very good. I will definitely be back.
Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is level with the street. There are no stairs either inside or outside.“

The service was nothing short of amazing and the food HANDS DOWN the best Thai food I have ever had! It was my wife's first time ever having Thai food and thanks to your staff and amazing food, she is hooked! We will be back again and again! Thank you so much for an amazing dining experience!“

“Recommend? Yes!
I honestly can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed this place yet. I’ve been going here for a few years now. Being a vegan I don’t have many options on the Westbank. My go to order here is the tofu fried rice (no-egg) on the lunch menu and I love their roti with peanut sauce as well. They also make me a Thai tea with coconut cream instead of milk.
Vegetarian options: Vegan options“

“I enjoyed my visit to Chill Out Cafe! I had a bowl of their Tom Kha and I enjoyed it. I had never seen tomatoes or carrots in this dish from any other Thai restaurant before, but I enjoyed the flavors of this addition. The calamari was deliciously crunchy. Our whole table ordered bubble tea but unfortunately they did not have enough boba left, as it was the end of the day. The thai tea and coffee was delicious regardless. I would come here again, and I hope to try their breakfast soon!“

“Denied access to a legally allowed service dog without any interest in making accommodation. The dog tucked immediately under the table where she is supposed to be and the server (maybe owner) came over immediately asking for paperwork, which isn't required in the United States. Any paperwork provided is typically bought off the internet. Don't waste your time or money here. Sharing their intolerance on every platform. Also just found out that the person who told us we couldn't eat there laughed and tried to joke with the rest of our party and offer free drinks after the fact like that was going to fix splitting our dinner party.“

“We stopped in 2 years ago with 3 teenage girls, 2 of whom are extremely picky. They still talk about how good the was here, and ask when we are going back to New Orleans so they can get more. It was delicious.“

“I had the Bangkok Shrimp. I believe the dish is new to the menu. Not only is it pleasantly plated, but it is also very delicious down to the crispy crunch wonton bowl in which it is served. The shrimp are large and plentiful. You will not be disappointed. This is a four star dish for sure!“
