Love Happy hour!
Soup not hot, no spoon given initially. Queso too thick, no flavor in salsa, claimed to not have any salt and pepper, (including the GM). Way over staffed, not the best on customer service, even being way over-staffed. Not impressed, hope it improves as time goes on. Metairie Road folks will not be pleased. Hope the kinks get worked out

Felipe's Mexican Taqueria, especially the Metairie Road location, is a go-to Mexican restaurant. The food is great, with the chimichanga, super burrito, flautas, and building your own tacos being popular choices. A bowl with carnitas and all the fixins is also nicely cooked. The spicy margarita is the best, and Zandy pours the best Rita. The service is awesome, with staff like the manager and a sweet lady on the line being very quick and willing to help. The atmosphere is always the best, and the sauce bar is nice. Outdoor seating is perfect for cool weather and is covered from the sun.
