“Excellent customer service! Excellent food! We ordered to-go & picked up for a large family gathering. Lots of food preferences & dietary restrictions and Zea was the perfect answer. Seafood was fresh and well seasoned. Vegetables were perfectly prepared as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“My husband and I went here today for dinner around 6:30pm. There wasn’t many people, the old school music selection was great, and our server was really nice. We both got the half chicken and subbed our sides to okra and macncheese and greens and macncheese. We didn’t wait long for our food and it was HOT and DELICIOUS when it finally arrived. The chicken had a great flavor as well as the sides. The macncheese is creamy and cheesy. I will definitely be back!“
“Went on April 14 for their Sunday Brunch because of reviews that describe "Bloody Mary" bar. Did read on their website that their Brunch has a "Bloody Mary" bar. We were disappointed that they actually DO NOT have one. Maybe our definition of "Bloody Mary" bar where patrons serve themselves and build their ideal Bloody Mary with provided mixes topped with provided garnishes is erroneous? But they do serve good individual Bloody Marys' with fixings. They also make a green Bloody Mary but tasted more like a green juice. We also ate here. Prices were a bit high but the food was very tasty! The Shrimp and Grits, Duck Hash and Crab Cake Benedict all had unique flavors. The Duck Hash was on the sweet side. Instead of serving rolls prior to your entree, Atchafalaya served mini cornbread muffins with their special butter which was delish! We asked for seconds :DReservations are good to have but they accommodated us without one. Just had to wait 30-45 minutes but they do have seating outside for that wait. Bring a hat for shade if a hot sun is shining! Hostess and wait staff were very cordial. With a full house, it can be a bit noisy and busy in their quaint establishment but atmosphere felt comfortable. The "live music" was an added nice touch!Don't know if we would go back again because of prices. There are many "Brunch" restaurants to choose from. Wish they still had our definition of a "Bloody Mary" bar. That would bring us back!“
“I had the gumbo and po boy combo and it was the best I’ve ever had! Huge piece of fish for a half sandwich and the gumbo was so good. Everyone else had breakfast and said it was great. Our waitress, Pamela, made the meal even better! We had a large group and she was attentive, eager to help in any way, and never seemed overwhelmed with all we asked. When she found out I was dairy free, she immediately returned with oat milk for my coffee. We will definitely come back and recommend it to all who visit New Orleans.“
“Willa Jean was one of the top suggested places by friends when visiting New Orleans. Running out of time, I went for a quick pastry since there's a to-go bakery counter near the large dining room. Ordering a blueberry muffin, they warmed it up for me. It was large and really good. It filled me for several hours!“
“Tess took care of me and my husband. She was attentive and caring, and we appreciated her kindness. The food was so good, especially the chicken and waffles. It was so good my husband was pacing the floor. We would definitely go back again when we come to town.“
“GREAT BBQ spot. Awesome selection of meats, pies, and sides. I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese (pictured) but we also had some amazing baked beans, corn bread, ribs, and burnt bits in my group and all ate in happy, fulfilled silence as we enjoyed some really really good food. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Everything was clean. Great price for food and drinks“
“Above all, you MUST order the seared scallops and artichoke appetizer. Fan-freaking-tactic! The Black Manhattan is excellent — except is was stirred long enough so it was nearly lukewarm when brought to the table. Great flavor, but disappointed at how warm it was. (An extra point for Luxardo cherries. Seriously. How can a restaurant claim they serve cocktails if they don’t use Luxardo cherries????)“
“We were recommended to Elizabeth’s by a friend and thankfully we went early in our visit to New Orleans, because we ate breakfast here every day of our trip! From the incredible food, one of the best spicy margaritas, and their welcoming, friendly, staff. Thank you for the great meals and memories!“
“Had an event here on Feb 27th for a group of about 70. The space was decorated wonderfully for Mardi Gras and the staff did everything they could to make the event a success. The food was great and there was plenty of it . We will be back ! Thank you Bamboulas!“
“New Orleans is known for its fantastic food scene, but let me tell you, I stumbled upon a restaurant that truly blew my mind. The dish that stole my heart was the cajun penne pasta - packed with juicy chicken and spicy sausage, smothered in a mouthwatering cajun sauce that left me wanting more even days later. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this culinary experience!“
“We came at 4, which is when they open. Perfect, no one was hardly there. Then, out of nowhere. A family of 10 with 8 kids all under the age of 11 was so loud and had no home training the adults didn't seem to mind either. Not to mention, the kids were all girls. Business is Business. I would say wayy too kid friendly of a “
“I really loved this place! The food was amazing. My group went for brunch and tried nearly everything. It was all soooooo good. My entire party of 11 was very happy. The service was also amazing! The visit was a month ago, so I don't remember her name, but our server was really sweet. She was on point with everything! The food and drink deliveries were perfectly timed. The server also had a guy helping her out and he was so sweet!!! I've never been to an establishment that had the food and service at a 10+ for me. It was an otherworldly experience for me.The atmosphere did leave a bit to be desired. The restaurant is in the CBD, which means parking is difficult. There is metered parking and some parking lots/garages around. It is also near the old Charity Hospital in NOLA, so it can seem a bit spooky in the area at night, as the building is empty. Also, it's industrial inside, which doesn't cut down on noise at all. Depending on where you sit, the noise can be a teeny bit overwhelming.Overall, this place is a 10 for me and I look forward to returning!Parking: Lots of metered parking available.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wc accessibility here.“
“My first experience with Food Assassin was via their food truck at FABC. My first time trying lamb and it was great. I have been to the restaurant 2 times since then and will return again. The staff is friendly and customer service is great too. Today I ordered lamb, a loaded baked potatoe and a grilled shrimp salad. My only complaint is my salad did not have cucumbers and red onions as seen on the menu picture. I did not check my order prior to leaving and it was a couple of hours later when I sat down to eat the salad. Van“
“The host/manager was a bit off and made us stand in the doorway for several minutes before seating us in a near empty restaurant but once we were seated our server was great and the food was exceptional. Amazing gumbo and the crawfish mac and cheese was a winner. Solid drinks too. Check this place out.“
“Service was friendly professional and prompt. while food was exceptional, the presentationFor the chicken and waffles was subpar at best. It looked like my 16 year old prepared it. The waffleWas crispy and light though. The ambience was very crowded with minimal spaceFrom the neighboring tables. Would return for the gumbo“
“After a long trip and waiting to settle into the hotel we found this spot not more than a block away and kept going back over the course of the week even though we were just visiting and not for the convenience but the service was fantastic the food was amazing and overall just an incredible spot to check “
“Have been wanting to try this place for a long time especially considering their mission. Their hours of operation are a little difficult for the 9-5 time, but finally made it out. Everything was fresh to order. Staff were friendly. They have indoor seating, parking is street parking. The building vibe is loft style, with high ceilings which made the place feel spacious. It was a busy time however we were seated quickly. I think they put a lot of detail into the place. Really enjoyed the fried turkey necks and the sweet potato fries. Would go back for those.“
“I'm here from out of town for a conference amd needed a Lil hair of the dog this morning so I asked the Vallet at the Marriott who is close by that has great Bloody Marys...they said Daisy Dukes. So here I am waiting on my coworker and they've got buy 1 get 1 free bloody Mary's and they are fantastic. My waiters name is Philip and he's so kind and a wonderful waiter!!!“
“I was by myself, on a Saturday evening, and walked in without a reservation. They were able to sit me almost immediately, and super close to the live jazz band.Oh it was awesome!! I didn't want to ever leave!I had the gumbo and the fried oysters. They were absolutely delicious!! The service was spectacular. I felt taken care of and had such a great time. I atmosphere was perfect! You've got to try this place!!“
“Just wonderful. Amazing food and great staff, I went there with people that are not fluent in English and they were very patient while I interpreted for them. Our server was a kind young lady that made great suggestions so we could try creole food and was overall very attentive. The food was amazing as well, we had a fantastic roast beef po boy and some great red beans and rice. A great restaurant at Magazine St!Dietary restrictions: I informed them of my shellfish allergy and they helped me choose food to accommodate for this. They were very kind and informative.“
“I found Brigtsen's About 15 years ago. I have since been there 10 times over the years on vacation. I go to all the fine dining restaurants In NOLA. No matter where I go. Brigtsen's is consistently the best meal of my trip. I just had the pork chop last week in was so delicious. This is truly one of the best restaurants in America. One of my favorite visits is when Frank is there so that I get to say hello. There are not many restaurants were a famous chef is actually there . I try to save room for the pecan pie but I'm not always successful. The menu is so good with choices I get too full. The service is also excellent. So in ending, I could go on for days, I'll just say. When your in New Orleans check out Brigtsen's. It's ok to thank me with every bite.“
“Daisy Dukes Kenner (can't speak about other locations) was a great experience. Food served up fresh and hot...and delicious! We had the hot sausage po-boy and greens! The greens were so well seasoned and the sausage and bread tasted great and authentic (po-boy French roll)! I added the Daisy Dukes sauce to my po-boy (I'm saucy) and it took it to the next level!Between 3-4, you might have the place to yourself. But don't let the absence of a crowd fool you!“
“I probably would have never known this place existed if it wasn’t for my mom suggesting it. The food was delicious! All the best flavors, fresh tasting Nola ingredients! we even sat outside since it was a nice day. Definitely suggest stopping in for a bite. The crawfish pie was AMAZING!“
“My wife and I attended supper at Mosquito Supper Club this evening and I can safely say that it was my favorite meal I've ever eaten. We sat at a communal table and had a wonderful conversation with the other diners. The food was tremendously good, presented beautifully, and we left stuffed after four courses. We had so much fun and couldn't believe how delicious everything we ate was. Without a doubt the next time we come back to New Orleans we will dine here again, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a real, honest, authentic meal served with thought and care.“
“We are so glad we got a chance to eat here. The food was wonderful and service friendly. The prices are a bit high and the space is small, but overall we felt it was worth it. We tried: shallot dip, pork knuckles, coal roasted mushrooms, coal roasted sweet potato, cornbread, pickles, yardbird plate and chocolate cake. Everything was good! The favorites were the yardbird and sweet potato. And the cake was excellent.“
“Our server, Michael was delightful. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable and patient with accommodating our dietary restrictions. We were his last table of the night, but he maintained exceptional service. The scallops were to die for and a dish you must try!!! Thanks for an amazing experience !!!“
“I had a good little time here ?? the staff is so funny. Such a good time. We went for oyster happy hour and it did not disappoint. I think i had at least 2 dozen on my own and a hurricane or two. My friend had the gator bite and let me tell you it was BITING. Whewww I don’t think any of them finished it. Radioactive ☢️ the shrimp were pretty good too. I’d go back for sure.“
“This was my first time here and it was amazing! The bbq ribs fell off the bone and the collard greens were flat out delicious!! I would definitely recommend! The portions are great for the price too. The staff was really friendly and the service was fast. It is cash only so bring some with you, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Was my first time trying the restaurant I was in for out of town for work and a local suggested I give them a try and they definitely were on point with the turkey wing with the rice and gravy candy yams were great also will definitely be back if I am ever close “
“It's a very small place but the food and service definitely make up for it. I got the baked spaghetti with sweet peas and fried wings and my wife got a fried shrimp on bun with onion rings. Absolutely delicious. And definitely get the watermelon punch!! Will definitely be “
“My wife and I had a late evening hunger that needed to be craved. We had a taste for chicken, and Gus was our second option. They stayed open at a great time to accommodate our hunger. Although we had a bit of a wait to sit down( there was a party of 28 people) so we were patient. The chicken was hot and fresh. Crisp skin, though I can't say that it was flavorful. It had a late kick of spice to it but the spice wasn't overwhelming. I want to try the tenders on my next outing and the greens.“
“The service here was sooooo slow. Spent 2 hours there but the food was really good! Order the alligator half fried half blackened. SO YUMMY! The shrimp and crawfish pasta comes with sooooo much seafood which is amazing! Shrimp po'boy is okay. Really yummy gumbo!“
“After a lifetime of Grits avoidance, it was Apolline that finally turned me - actually changed my mind. I was a "Grits Convert" they said, as if it were a common experience from their point of view.Maybe it was just the first time I'd experienced Grits as anything better than bland and uninspired gruel. Or maybe the preparation here was exceptional. Whatever the case, the Shrimp and Grits was irresistible. I felt a shade guilty, as if anything this good must be illegal, even in a city with few such social limitations.Short version: The food was excellent and the service was genuine. It was an easy place to enjoy, easier to recommend.“
“Had dinner here opening week and WOW the food is delicious, drinks were awesome, wait staff was on point, and atmosphere is so cool! We had the brisket debris fries for an app, really good!!. I got the blue crab soup (sooo much crab, get a cup of this as an appetizer, it's so good) and the outpost chopped salad (it's almost like a deconstructed muffulleta- I planned on saving half, but I ate the whole thing). Husband got the skirt steak, and he loved it so much that I'm pretty sure he's going to request it weekly. We both got the Twerk the French cocktail, and it's like a strawberry cloud. Can't wait to come back and get another one or two :) We fed my son before we left thinking the wait would be long, but only waited around 10 minutes with no reservation. My son got the chicken tenders and fries to munch on while we ate. Very kid friendly like Velvet Cactus, since my son was watching his Ipad and not disturbing anyone around us. I've lived in Lakeview since before Velvet Cactus opened, so we were at their opening week too, and we've been weekly regulars for 12 years. Definitely found a fun new spot by the same owners!“
“The bartender who wrote the drink ? menu is EVERYTHING!!! I tried the pink squirrel, which is his grandmother’s old recipe, and it was great!!! Make sure you have the bread. It’s a sweet potato bread that’s absolutely delicious. I’ve even had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. For the Sunday brunch they really should have a smooth, jazz band to play I make the seating, more aesthetically pleasing. This is one of my favorite places to dine.Parking: Valet parking is convenient with validation stamp it’s under $20.“
“Our story begins in the year of 1964 amidst a bustling family grocery business known as “Fiorella’s Fine Foods.”The store owner Anthony Fiorella would rise before the break of dawn to go to the French Market to buy the freshest of produce for his customers, while his son C J and his daughter in law Carolyn managed orders and stocked shelves. In 1977, tragedy struck with the sudden passing of Anthony Fiorella, leading C J to take up the responsibility of procuring produce.During C J’s routine coffee stop at the French Market, fate intervened. The restaurant owner relinquished the place for health reasons, unexpectedly offering it to C.J.On May 3, 1985, Fiorellas Cafe came to life. After years near the French Market, C.J. sold the business in 1999.Fast forward to 2016, and a revival unfolded as "The Original Fiorellas’ Cafe" on Franklin Ave opened its doors.C J passing in 2023 leaving his sons Kelly and Calcie to continue the Fiorella’s family tradition of quality dining with friendly service. The Original Fiorellas Cafe offers a delightful dining experience that combines efficiency with indulgence.Upon arrival, you'll find a seamless ordering process at the counter, where you're promptly greeted by friendly staff. After placing your order, you're given a number and directed to your chosen table, where you can relax and anticipate the culinary delights to come. Now, let's get right to the star of the show: the muffuletta. Prepare yourself for a flavor explosion, as the generous proportions of cold cuts nestled between slices of high-quality, freshly baked bread are sure to leave you satisfied. The olive salad, with its homemade taste and perfect balance of flavors, adds a delightful touch to each bite. And speaking of the bread, there's a good chance it was made in-house, given its unmistakably fresh taste and texture.Every element of Fiorellas Cafe’s muffuletta comes together in perfect harmony, with flavors that complement each other flawlessly.By the time you finish your meal, you'll find yourself not just full, but contented, with memories of a dining experience that exceeded expectations.“
“I work across the street at Touro so my friends were eating there a lot so I decided to give it a try. The lasagna is some of the best lasagna I have ever had! I'm a very picky eater too . Everything is so good and so fresh. Definitely worth it“
“One of the best fried turkeys I've ever had. We had the cajun fried for Christmas. This bird was flavorful, juicy & moist. The service is warm and inviting. The lady taking orders truly makes you feel like you're talking to a an aunt in the family. I would recommend for any occasion.“
“Holy Moly! As a born and bred South Georgia girl ( not really a girl anymore, lol) I know chicken. Or I thought I did. So when I say that this is without a doubt the best dang chicken sandwich on the planet, you can take that info to the BANK! My daughter Anna insisted we go there first thing as we attended the New Orleans Fried Chicken Festival and although we had some great dishes, this was just spectacular! Now have I ever called a chicken sandwich spectacular? Not once and I have had some really good ones in my lifetime.I just know when I win the lottery ( and I am lucky!) these will be the first folks I invest in. So if you want your tastebuds to be dancing all day, just go. I'm not normally this excited about something, but they have it going on!“
“I visited the location on Ponchatrain in Nola last night _ I will NEVER dine in late at night - The host was outside playing with the managers dog in the parking lot - She walked in the side door and greeted me picked up the menu and NEVER sanitized or washed her hands. The server complained about it being slow- My food came out cold- The manager on duty last didn't care- They put my side dishes in the microwave They served me the same cold chicken I sent back and just put it on the grill for a few minutes. Horrible customer service experience and the quality of the food was worse.“
“I recommend it but the young woman who is the hostess is very rude. When we walked in she told us they weren’t serving anyone due to the shift change, even though this one isn’t due to close at 9. She was very unprofessional and that is bad for business. Everyone in the restaurant were even talking about it.“
“Casual dining with exquisite dishes! It's no surprise to find good food in Louisiana and Hobnobber has mastered the art of flavor. Trout almandine with brabant potatoes, crab cakes on pasta with creamy crawfish sauce, corn bisque - I want more!Atypical people, people of all abilities especially welcome - your favorite meal is served with care and affection!Kid-friendliness: Just tell them what you need and they'll do their best to accommodate you!“
