“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“
“What an authentic JEWEL!!!We had 8 people with hungry appetites and this restaurant was perfect. If you love fresh and delicious food, go ahead and try the gyro plate, so good. A bunch of our crew had the chicken shawarma, and they loved it. I'm still not totally sure what was in the rice, but it was cooked and seasoned to perfection.Really accommodating and just a pleasure to sit and enjoy authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned food.I really wish I had taken a picture, but I just dug right in.Kid-friendliness: Our server was very patient with our youngest son who really just wanted some chicken, and she made it happen. Great job!“
“I've been twice and would go again. When I'm in the mood for a nice refreshing home made kinda salad I think of this place. Usually when I'm craving them there closed (due to them being open for a few hours of the day). I got the Grilled Chicken Salad and a spud, both very tasty. I did add more chicken for my salad.“
“This place was great! The food was delicious beyond expectations, and the prices were very reasonable. We aren’t fancy restaurant people, so the laid back easy atmosphere was fine for us. The staff was super friendly. And what’s better than sitting on a barstool right at the front windows watching people go down a dirty sidewalk in New Orleans? It will always be a favorite in NOLA.“
“We popped in for happy hour and were thrilled to have the patio all to ourselves! Our server was so friendly and helpful, the drinks were exactly what we wanted, and the Carrot Tempura was life changing. I need the recipe for that curry butter! We’ll definitely be back next time we are in New Orleans!“
