Hansen's Sno-Bliz is a legendary sno-ball shop in New Orleans, established in 1934 by the Hansen family. Despite facing challenges like Hurricane Katrina, the family's dedication has kept the legacy alive. Ashley Hansen, the granddaughter, now runs the shop and continues the tradition of making creative and delicious sno-balls with natural flavors. The shop received the America's Classics award in 2014 for its quality. The snowballs are meticulously crafted, shaved ice drenched in homemade syrups, offering a true taste of Louisiana's culture. The texture of the ice is like powder and the syrups are unique and flavorful, with huge portion sizes. Customers can enjoy a variety of flavors, like the strawberry shortcake, cream of blueberry & lemonade, or honey-lavender and passion fruit, which are delicious. The shop is known for its fast service and friendly staff, who are so nice and let customers try the flavors. While there is limited outdoor seating, the wait is worth it for a cool experience on a super hot day.
