There is no place better to eat than good old mom's. Well my mom doesn't cook like this, but wow, it was good! It is hard to choose between the fried chicken and baked ham.
I misfired on a couple restaurant choices in New Orleans, but not on this one! This is what I had been looking for! Great food. Good people taking care of you. Authentic surroundings not all prim and proper. Crowds of people can't all be wrong. Right?! Lines waiting to order. Lots of repeat customers know just what to order. I thoroughly enjoyed my Jambalaya, Turnip Greens & Red Beans & Rice. Give them a try! The line moves fast so don't let that intimidate you.

Be ready to wait in line but so worth it! Review the menu before getting the register. They will give you a ticket and someone will come your table and grab you ticket and come back with your ticket and order. Ham is sooooooo fresh!!! Never had such fresh ham in my life!!! Can’t wait to be back!!
