Lovely bakery just off Magazine street with a huge production kitchen next door.
I was not super impressed by the food - the morning bun was overly sweet. The peach bun did not have enough peach flavor. The dolce & banana was all sugar with very little banana flavor. The brown butter cookie was alright. The mustard and onion savory croissant had great flavors. An absolutely delightful bakery with some of the most beautiful (and tasty!) pastries and sandwiches you’ve ever seen.
I stopped by Levee this morning, and it was entirely worth being late to work for. The staff is incredibly energetic, friendly, and engaging, setting a great tone from the moment you walk in. The bakery has a light, airy, and intentional vibe that balances the rigorous standards of a serious artisan kitchen with the warmth of a local neighborhood spot.
