Crave is a hidden gem that serves great food with generous portions. The brunch items, except for the grits, are phenomenal. For dinner, the pick-your-fish dishes, such as the redfish creola, are perfectly seasoned and cooked, accompanied by delicious sides like garlic green beans and fries. The staff is attentive, professional, and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a local hangout. The manager effectively coaches the team to provide excellent service, even when short-staffed. The restaurant's small size and nice decor add to its charm, making it a great find for those looking for a non-touristy experience in New Orleans. Recent visitors enjoyed the cool vibes and reasonable prices, while some found the cuisine to be not to their taste. The seafood combo platter was well-seasoned, and the Cajun pasta was a great recommendation from the server. The guac and ceaser salad received mixed reviews, with some wishing for milder flavors. Many customers praise the friendly and attentive staff, with Kayla being highlighted as an amazing server. The menu offers favorites like Lee’s Shrimp and Grits and the Delacroix Seafood Enchiladas, with many guests returning for their favorites. One reviewer mentioned a small issue with the ladies' room toilet, suggesting it needs fixing but noting that a plumber's visit is inexpensive. Overall, Crave offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty food and attentive service.
