Lost its charm, but passion is still there. People make the passion, food and presentation is well over-dated and you should never put a plate on a table that can burn a child wanting to touch it. I hope they get back to higher standards and TOTALLY make over the restaurant and bar. Too many pictures that should be in a home and in a restaurant.

I LOVE Andrea's and have never been SO disappointed in all the years going there! It seemed to be the 1st experience for the waiter. He practically broke down and yelled at one of our party (we were 10 for Sunday brunch) and I only saw 2 other parties that day (Saints game at noon). When it was time for the bill, it was a fiasco! He returned 3 times from trying to correct it when one of us went with him to the computer to help him out and it was still wrong! I believe everyone wanted off of work for the game and they got him in there from Lord knows where and it was just too overwhelming for him! I will return and enjoy Andrea's in the future and will just let this one go. I hope this helps manage the restaurant better without hurting the waiter!

Birthday

Two of us went for a birthday dinner. I'm not sure what was happening this particular night but we ordered drinks, an appetizer and entrees all together. The drinks seem to take time to get and the bread. When we did receive the bread it wasn't hot. It took at least 45 minutes to be served the appetizer. Waiter apologized for the delay at first saying they had a large party backing them up. He again apologized saying that the food tickets that go back to the kitchen got lost and they ran out of paper in the machine. They had parties that came after us that had received their food before us. The Waiter indicated that the Manager offered a round of drinks at no charge. When the Manager spoke with us we indicated we appreciated the gesture but we had not come to Andrea's just to drink. We finally received the appetizer which was good. One of our entrees was good, the other was okay. Finally we ordered dessert and this rounded off the disappointment. The cannoli we ordered tasted old and like it sat in the refrigerator for several days. Dessert was complimentary and unsure if it was because it was a birthday or because of the challenges during dinner. When we were finally leaving the Waiter apologized for the third time and gave another reason for the delay, they were not staffed well in the kitchen. I'm not sure what was happening on Saturday night, August 27th but we left the restaurant extremely disappointed. We were given 3 different reasons for the delay and during the delay you could sense the discomfort by the waiter and manager because they avoided our table as much as possible. Very disappointing...I will not say I wouldn't recommend to friends because hopefully this was just a one off and not a typical night at Andrea's!!!!!

We had the best experience and it was our first time dining at Andrea’s. Ron was our server and he had some great recommendations (the calamari) and brought all the fun to the table. This was a great start to my birthday and the chocolate cake with raspberry was a phenomenal surprise. Thank you!!

An insult to true souther Italian cooking. Andrea lost his way and got lazy the last 15 years.

Do not eat here! Seriously in need of restaurant makeover. Service was good because no one else decided to dine here.

It was great. We needed somewhere to eat and this gem was perfect. We had babies with us and they were very accommodating with them. I highly recommend

Tonight was my first time dining at Andrea's and I cannot believe I waited so long. From the moment our party of 10 arrived, the servers were attentive and accommodating to all of our requests. I really appreciated the creativity of the dishes on the menu and decided to order the Grouper topped with Rockefeller sauce and Fried Oysters. It was excellent and not like some of the same old standard seafood dishes that you get at many other Italian restaurants. I honestly thought about getting one to go, as I liked it so much. I also ordered the Salmon Florentina to go, for my husband who was home dog sitting. He really loved his dish as well. Our table ordered off of many different parts of the menu and everyone was happy with their dishes. We got to meet Chef Andrea tonight. We asked him to come to our table for photo ops and he not only accommodated us but was so pleasant and funny. It says a lot to me, when a Chef will come out and greet his guest. In closing, I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience at Andrea's and would definitely come back again. Thank you Chef Andrea and staff. You all really made this a wonderful and memorable evening for us all.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants of all time. I've been here multiple times over the past 3 years and consistently have had a 5 star experience. The food is delicious, service excellent, ambience is unique and warm. They have nice private rooms for parties as well. Definitely a place you can go for a date or bring the kids for a family dinner. Can't say enough good things. We have loved everything we've ordered. The fresh fish with crabmeat, veal piccata, pasta, salad... everything is yummy!!

The food was excellent and the service was great! The only downside was the musty smell in the entrance. I am hoping there was an issue that will be corrected. We will return and hope that the musty smell was corrected.

Service here is super slow : Especially since the restaurant was quite empty. the waiters are friendly but took way to long in every aspect of our dining experience I have not been here in a few years because of covid. I food was not very good. Shrimp were wee see y too chewy. Didn't seem fresh. Soup was nothing special. Fish dish lacked flavor. No seasoning. Overall not a great experience.

Apparently this used to be great place but that is no more. We went with a party and had many issues to include bad service, we had to refill our water. For instance i waited for over 15 minutes to get a steak knife after my steak was served because the server dropped my food and ran. Once i cut open my steak it was well done and i ordered medium rare but because all my friend were done eating i did not want a replacement. They brought me a check for the steak, when i questioned the server he said i needed to speak with the manager or chef, i waited, no one came. I went out top speak with them and tried to explain that their policy is that just because i sent it back i still needed to pay for it. I explained that no one came to me and explained their policy but was ready to call the police as i was not willing to just walk out and potentially have any litigation issues. They acceded on the cost but it was hard fought. I also want to add that a member in our party ordered raw oysters and they were warn and dry, which is a perfect situation for food positioning, thankfully she refused them and was not charged. Them management is out of touch with reality. I will say the bartender was amazing and it is worth a visit for a few drinks.

Haven't been in many years, fear actual experience would not hold up to our memory of it...wrong, wrong, wrong! It was even better. Food outstanding and such a pleasure seeing Andreas walking the dining room chatting and visiting...will not wait decades to return!
