Overall food was really good!! My boyfriend had the chargrilled oysters and seafood gumbo! He said the gumbo was the best he's ever had! My daughter had the bayou pasta and loved it! I had the crabmeat au gratin and wasn't a fan unfortunately. They took it off the bill which was very kind, but i wasn't asked if I'd like to order anything else so I technically didnt get to eat dinner.

My family and I love Bistro Orleans and cross the lake to dine there on special occasions. The food is excellent and so is the service. My favorite dish is the fried trout covered in crabmeat. My daughter swears by the fettuccini alfredo and says it's the best in metro New Orleans. Don't forget to order the bread pudding, another winner that delivers big every time.

The food was terrible. The seafood gumbo was loaded with shrimp, but there was no flavor except that of the flour used to make the roux. The Caesar salad wasn’t fresh and was served on a warm plate which made it worse. The entree was also disappointing. I was served a plate of mainly angel hair pasta with a white sauce that tasted like milk, no seasoning or crab meat. I was shocked to see what amounted to maybe half a catfish filet that was also flavorless, no salt or seasoning of any kind…and it wasn’t crispy. I feel like the chef didn’t know what they were doing and just threw something together to be served. I should have sent it back, but I wasted $50. I won’t be back.
