We had 3 Cuban paninis, 1 duck and mushroom gumbo, 2 sides of fruit, tea and 1 very refreshing martini. Only thing better than the food was the service, starring Jayla and Regina. The customers all seemed to be regulars, and now I will be one too!

This review is for the food, we ordered take out. After hearing such good things about Blue Line, we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately, we were incredibly disappointed. Our sandwiches (a Cuban panini and a turkey avocado) were horrible. The bread was so dry, it might have been stale? The lettuce was very bitter, the meat on the Cuban was overcooked (dry) and overall the sandwiches were inedible.

After spending $40 for two sandwiches, you would hope the quality would be great! Sorry to say, blue line was a major disappointment and we won’t be back.

I understand that restaurants have policies about ordering before sitting, but the way my experience was handled today was extremely disappointing and honestly very frustrating.

I came in with my party, and I had a baby with me in a car seat. Because of that, standing in line the entire time just wasn’t practical, so I sat down at a table while the rest of my party who I had already mentioned was there got situated so we could all sit together. My intention was simply to make things easier while managing the baby, not to cause any issues.

When we tried to move tables together to accommodate everyone, a staff member who was bussing tables told us we couldn’t move anything unless the entire party was present. The problem with that was that our entire party was there I was just already seated with the baby. Then another employee came over and again told us we couldn’t move tables and that we would have to wait until everyone had finished ordering.

After all of that, I went ahead and got back in line to order like they asked. While I was standing there, I could hear employees in the back making comments about us still being seated at the table. That was honestly the most upsetting part being talked about instead of treated with basic respect and understanding.

I completely understand that policies exist for a reason, but there’s also a way to communicate them kindly and with consideration, especially when someone is clearly managing a baby. The lack of empathy and the rude comments made the whole experience uncomfortable.

Because of how this was handled, I won’t be returning.

Breakfast and lunch are great at Blue Line and they have something for everyone. The grits are a must try.

I stopped in for breakfast before the St Patrick Day parade today. The place was busy with people, at counter, tables and to-go orders. The décor incorporates various artwork from local artist which is important to me. The service was courteous and on point. The food came out fast and hot. I will be back, it did not disappoint.

What a delight. The sort of place where staff knows customers’ names and everyone is all smiles. I had the biscuits and gravy. Delicious.

The food is really good and comes out quickly. It is a staple in the community, and it stays busy, but the service is top notch. They remember your name every time you walk in. I am constantly recommending this spot to people.

Hands down one of the best places my wife and I ate at in a long time. Well worth the ride from Marrero. We both got the breakfast burritos, grits, potatoes and an order of duck and sweet potato hash. The atmosphere, people staff and location is off the charts. We will definitely be back!!

Always great service and awesome food.
The food is always fresh and made to order.
They accommodate my allergies with no hesitation.
The prices are a little higher than others but really worth it.
My favorite is the corned beef hash with hatch chilies.
They make their own corned beef! Yummy!
