Tried Café Equator in Metairie in search of some good Thai food. We were happy with both the service and the food, and the menu offered a nice range of traditional Thai dishes.\n\nWe ordered the Massaman Curry, Pork Street Thai Basil, and Chicken Cashew Tori. The curry was flavorful and comforting, though the chicken cashew tori could have used a bit more seasoning. The food here is pretty good. Fair pricing. Very nice people. However I do not believe the restaurant has ever been cleaned. Ever or Ever. Floors were so sticky through out the entire restaurant, restrooms quiet literally have never seen toilet cleaner or been mopped. I just hope the kitchen is better maintained.
