Cafe Du Monde Lakeside Mall

lol we were the only ones that recently ordered beignets and heard one of the workers in the back say that the accidentally burnt our batch. The cashier looked at us and said, “that’s fine,” then proceeded to serve them to us. Tasted overdone and were flat as hell. What even was this interaction?

The beignets were very good, not earth shattering but I may have had unrealistic expectations, sort of a bucket list for me. coffee was very good as well. service is very great too!

Terrible customer service. The staff made us feel completely unwelcome and uncomfortable eating there. The food was mediocre at best, and the coffee was awful. Overall, just a horrible experience; definitely wouldn’t recommend or go back.

My first experience at a Cafe Du Monde was at this location a few days ago. The staff was extremely kind and the environment was calm even though it is located inside the mall. It was a good break from the mall environment and super cute! The beignets were delicious, I can understand why they are a staple! Thank you for your kind hospitality to the Cafe Du Monde staff at this location! We appreciate you all!

This was my second time visiting a Cafe Du Monde. The beignets weren't as impressive as the ones I had during my first visit but this time I had the Frozen Cafe Au Lait and it blew me away.

I decided to splurge on beignets. Very disappointed. Although they were fresh out the fryer, they were just big balls of dough with no texture at all.

We were visiting Lakeside Shopping Center and wanted to have beignets at Cafe Du Monde. Beignets were very good and up to their standard. Service was fast and friendly. You can pay with a credit card here (it is cash only at the original location in the French Quarter). Nice to be able to get this treat while spending time at the mall.
