I’ve went to China Rose many times, and their Mapo Tofu never fails to impress—it’s so authentic and flavorful that it makes the versions at other Chinese restaurants taste like nothing more than tofu in chili bean paste. Ever since trying China Rose’s Mapo Tofu, I’ve started using this dish as my personal benchmark for judging the authenticity of Chinese cuisine. The food really wasn't that bad its just some of it tasted dry even with the sauces. The chicken for each dish (sweet &sour and General's)was either over fried or sat all for too long. Honestly the egg rolls were the best part of the meal. Service was so so,but the atmosphere of the resturant was pretty decent.

Dining at China Rose is always a delight! I go with friends and eat family style, enjoying a variety of Sichuan dishes off the Chinese menu. We love the sliced fish & pickle soup, stir fried string beans (that come with delicious fried ginger), eggplant in hot garlic sauce, crispy fish fillet (with salt and pepper seasoning); and for meat eaters, the pan fried pork dumplings! 10/10 For both service and quality. ⭐️ Can’t wait to come back!

The food is good and we always take out .. Today we wanted to dine in and was treated as if we were not welcome they want our money but don’t want us sit in there establishment I would never eat here again rude asf go see for yourself…
Note that there are two menus here: an authentic Chinese food menu given to some, and the ostensibly “white persons’ menu”given to most. We weren’t offered the authentic menu and ate standard Chinese fare that you get anywhere. I was so disappointed. Chinese families and regulars in the know had heaping piles of greens and dumplings, which were not offered to us as an option. We were also not offered chop sticks, we received wooden disposable ones when I requested them, and when I asked about the lacquered ones, I was told we wouldnt know how to use them. (I live in Asia one month/year). Server was dismissive and unapologetic. Of the food we got, the homestyle tofu was the best. But A very disappointing experience overall.

Ask for the authentic menu is just wonderful. The dan dan noodles are the best I have ever had around here. We frequent for Sunday lunch and the occasional weekday dinner. Service is excellent.

I searched long and hard and finally found Chinese food like it used to be!! - After my Favorite Chinese restaurant was sold in the Riverbend, uptown. Everywhere I tried it has turned into greasy slop in little containers and I would just throw it away. Service was impeccable - Food was FRESH!! Large portions!! Homemade Eggrolls - No Grease - Delicious!!! Waitress was very nice!!
