I has the roast beef special with tons of meat, fresh mashed potatoes and yummy green beans, a tiny salad and bread. It was $12.99. The Po Boys were loaded and the bread was fabulous. Highly recommend for casual and family dining.

So I came in today cute place! But I asked for a grilled shrimp poboy, and I got half fried half grilled. See now if someone had a bad reaction to dying oil or the badder that’s on the restaurant. So the shrimp was SUPER salty. I will not be coming back inn, sorry but this does not live up to its name.

This is my first time eating here and my mom swore by this place. However, I am NOT impressed. Got the Hamburger Steak meal. Not only was everything lukewarm to cold, the hamburger steak was some mystery meat. I expected ACTUAL hamburger but instead it was mystery meat. They need to put on the menu the meat is NOT actually hamburger. Totally disappointed with the lunch. I also ordered Seafood gumbo. Also, was cold, and I didn’t see a single piece of seafood in it, despite it being more expensive than the chicken gumbo. It was also watery. My colleague ordered the shrimp po-boy. It was so salty that he could barely eat it. Additionally, he asked for grilled shrimp and the sandwich was mixed with grilled and fried shrimp. Though this was not the absolute worse place I’ve eaten, this is VERY close to it. I will not be returning…especially for the price I paid for the lunch.
Cozy atmosphere, full of regulars. Food is good, usually comes out fairly quick. No table service, but restaurant is kept clean. Great place for a casual lunch. Expect to spend $20-25 on most lunches with a drink.

I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant. They've never got my order wrong and the food is always fresh and delusional. I highly recommend the Rost Beef Po-Boy. The bread alone is to die for and the gravy is absolutely perfect.
