I had the stuffed mushrooms, stuffed grilled shrimp, and potato salad. The potato salad was a little disappointing, but everything else was perfect.

Food was okay. We had crawfish which was okay but one of my mom crawfish was already eaten. The Lemonade was different for all of my family. My mom was unsweet and my dad's was too sweet. the only good food we had was the carrot cake. I oder dessert the golden brick sunday to go and the box have holes in it. We are not comeing back or would recommend this to anyone.

My favorite stop between the airport and downtown. Stuffed shrimp is my favorite. This time I had the BBQ charbroil oysters. Fire.

Deanie's usually has great seafood, but today was not good. The plate was not hot, three fried shrimp were nubs. No premium vodka for my bloody Mary, just cheap choices or no named brands. Don't think I will return.

Service at Deanie's felt lackluster at best. We chose to eat here on our way through because we have previously enjoyed the barbecue shrimp and the market next door. The market seemed sparse, and the barbecue shrimp was more greasy than buttery. When asked for a Gluten-free menu both the waitress and the fellow acting as host made us feel they didn't really know what we meant, though they did have a separate menu. I feel like they need to train their staff better on allergy safety, as we were told "almost everything on the menu is gluten free aside from the soft-shell crab, but we can make that Gluten-free." They completely ignored the fact that nearly two-thirds of the menu has flour and bread crumbs, and that depending on their fryer situation, the fried foods, even if they are corn-meal breaded, are not safe either. I have never eaten somewhere that made me feel so brushed off and like the staff did not care if they got someone sick. We will choose a different location if we eat at Deanie's again.Dietary restrictions: They have a Gluten-free menu with a good selection, even if it is limited compared to the rest of what they have. Unfortunately the staff doesn't have the training to make us comfortable eating with them again.

On the way to the New Orleans International Airport, we wanted to eat some genuine Louisiana food. We found Deanie's and it turned out to be a great place to eat. We will eat there again the next time we go to New Orleans.Kid-friendliness: My grandson loved the food.

Went to Deanies with my friend and as always the food and service was great! However, I noticed a 20% service charge on my bill. I asked our waitress what it was for since I know we had less than 5 people at our table and she stated that it was because we asked them for separate checks. I think that is a little much since it was almost $9. Their servers may be getting shorted on their tips if they continue this.

As 3/30/24 I asked for a strawberry daiquiri with pinacoloda mix I thought they both were daiquiris so they bought me a strawberry daiquiri mix with ice cream and I'm lactose and tolerate I asked can I switch it and was told rudely no by the Metairie manger Mr Jeff. Ps I would have paid for it never coming back
