Definitely a nice place to take an out of town guest to. The char grilled oysters were hot and tasty, but had chunks of shell in them. I felt the need to warn the out of town folks I was eating with which was disappointing considering this is one of the things Dragos is most known for. There have been times I've been here where the service was really good. This time, it was a bit slow. The food is good and I'll definitely go back

Always a great experience. The charbroiled oysters on the half shell are sooooo good. The meal was superb, the drinks were excellent, and the service was superior. We always get to Drago's whenever we're in New Orleans.

Absolutely delightful experience! Tried chargrilled oysters for the first time, and they were amazing—I'm now a big fan! While the mains were a tad salty, they were still delicious. Lauren, our waiter, was incredibly nice and passionate, answering all our questions with enthusiasm. Will definitely be back for more!

The breakfast was amazing 3 of 3 times. They took over Metairie breakfast and some former Peppermill employees are there, very nice to see.
The food was delicious, all the staff from the front door to the dining room were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. The parking lot was clean, the dining rooms were clean, and the restrooms were clean. Five stars are well earned. Thank you. I went for a late lunch today with my Father and brother. We felt very rushed and unwelcome. The place was not very busy at 2:30pm. Our appetizers and entrees arrived all together. The table was not large enough to accommodate the food. The food runners did not know how and where to place the food. The drink I ordered was not provided until I asked a second time. We returned the entree as there was no room. We requested a fresh entree be provided after the appetizers. We received the same entree that was delivered previously. We refused it and requested new. A fresh entree was provided but after an extended wait. The food was good but did not make up for the poor service. The dining experience did not match the upscale appearance of this restaurant. I don't recommend and do not plan to return. There are better options available.

Drago's was highly recommended online, and by a couple of local folks I worked with, and I was definitely let down.Service was terrible, the waiter checked in once shortly after dropping off my food, then disappeared until he brought my check, which he dropped off without a word or even looking at my table. I finished my drink (water, not anything fancy or without refills) not even halfway through my food, and it wasn't ever refilled, although considering he only came back to my table to drop off the check, retrieve it, and leave the receipt as quickly as humanly possible, I guess he never had the chance.The food was okay, but I expected better than "okay" for seafood just outside New Orleans, especially at Drago's prices. Their cornbread was shameful, I've had better cornbread from my local grocery store in WA.There's a Deanie's Seafood about a mile away. Save your money and patience, go there instead and get much better food for much lower prices, with a waiter who actually pays attention to their tables.Vegetarian options: There aren't many, but they do clearly list which dishes contain meat, which is always appreciated in the South, where bacon is in all sorts of things unexpectedly.Parking: They have a free parking lot, but even with plenty of open seats inside, there were barely any spots available.
