We went here after we had poor service, drinks and appetizers at a nearby restaurant. The manager Julie and waiter Brandon took such great care of us. The food was amazing and the service was top notch!! Thank y’all for taking care of a groups of girls and turning the night around for us!!! We will be back!!!

Great food and ambience! Love the private gazebo's you can reserve to watch sporting events! Food was delicious!

Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it and they do different deals on different nights so it's worth checking them out before you book. Highly recommended.

First time at Garrison kitchen and cocktails and YOU have to go! It's the cutest little spot with amazing food. The bone in chop is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

The most magnificent restaurant I've seen in the new Orleans ole Metairie area. I felt like I was uptown in this classy new addition. Planning my sisters wedding reception. I would love to know if they do private events!

Pretty high end in taste and price. Worth at least one visit. Focaccia was rich and delicious, my redfish was unique, brussel sprouts kinda looked overdone. Overall a pleasant experience.

Great service, food and wine. The staff listened closely to what we wanted and took the time to explain the menu and tailor their recommendations to meet our desires. The pace of the meal was excellent, but when the chef did not think it was going fast enough, he surprised us with a little extra that made us feel cared for. We especially liked the shrimp toast, butternut squash soup, and the Brussels sprouts.

I really like Garrison Kitchen food and ambiance. However, I don't recommend it for parties larger than 3. My reservation for 8 people was not a great experience, and I won't be booking larger parties there again. I received a few texts about how the entire party must be present, the consequences of not being present 15 minutes after seating time, consequences of cancellation or changing the reservation, and a reminder that I was "due at garrison kitchen in 30 minutes." While they are strict about their reservation process, which I understand, it was disappointing that our table wasn't ready until 18 minutes after reservation time, despite our punctuality. Their slow response to emails and not answering the phone during open hours added to the frustration. While I appreciate their thoroughness in sending reminders and their guidelines via text, they felt overly strict and somewhat overbearing. Overall, I felt there was a double standard: their expectations of me were not commensurate with their results. The food was very delicious and I do plan on returning. Our waiter was also very kind and answered any questions we had about the menu.

I've been tossing around the number of stars I should assign Garrison, and I couldn't decide for a bit. Four or five? I landed on five for the following reasons. This being a fairly new spot, I was impressed with the smooth service we received. There weren't any hiccups and our server was a such a pro that I felt as if I was at a long established New Orleans gem. She was extremely helpful and her suggestions were spot on. She was attentive and professional, with a strong side of genuine kindness. The food was all solid with the exception of the duck salad. Although the flavor of the duck was nice, the rest of the dish felt like nothing. It was as if the intent was just to serve a small bit of tasty duck, and then the chef decided that there should be some presentation, so they placed it on some filler. I think a few slices of duck on a beautiful, small plate would've been nice, and at a lower price point. The focaccia bread service was good. Now for my burger - it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I would have appreciated a side of fries or fancy onion rings, so maybe in time this will change. Aside from my burger looking very lonely on the plate, it was a win. I had the king cake cocktail with my meal and I am blown away. It was a perfect interpretation. My hat is off to whomever conceived this unique drink. I've had my share of king cake cocktails over the years, and this was by far my absolute favorite. Y'all, it was sweet but a little bold, and the cinnamon flavor was exactly enough. I wanted a second one, but am a lightweight, so had to limit myself on this particular night. The decor and ambiance were nice as well.

Amazing experience at the chef's table. We were really impressed as food was delicious! 10/10 recommend checking this place out! A little hidden gem.

Ate here on Valentines Day 2024. The service was good, but the food was so far from that. We got the crispy chicken and it tasted more like veal (very meaty/gamey). We could only eat a few bites of this, as it was sitting gross cheese like sauce. The bolognese was a bit more forgiving, but it was extremely herby. Would've gotten much better for $100 from Applebees.

We sat at the chef’s table and it was absolutely fantastic. It is literally like watching the Netflix show the Bear (but without any yelling). This kitchen is a well oiled machine and we cannot wait to come back!!! Very impressed.

The location and ambiance of this place is great. It offer three different areas, all looking great. We chose to seat outside, but had problems with the heating it was either too much or too little, which made it uncomfortable. The food was good but not amazing. They need to further develop their menu. We order a combination of the appetizers and a dish to share. The best thing to eat was the focaccia. The duck salad was very disappointing and the fried cauliflower was just that. The bolognese was really great and I'll have that again. I wish they had a better offering for happy hour. The cocktails were good but with a little work and adjustments they can be much better. All and all while not amazing, it was a fun place to go, have a few drinks and get a bite. I'll probably will go back.

This is a former garden center, which means there's plenty of outdoor seating... But not now... It's cold outside. We three each had a Caesar salad, which tasted ok, but I found myself wanting an actual anchovy or two. I had the NT strip, which comes presliced, including chimmichurri, hollandaise, and fried onions. Also shown is the redfish, which was delicious. Our third person had the dirty rice with duck confit, but said it was too rich for her. This restaurant is worth a trip to Metairie.Parking: Valet parking is available.
