Got food delivered. Portions were ridiculously small for the price. We were given one side of sweet and sour sauce for two seperate orders. Spring rolls did not taste good, had a weird flavor. Portions were so small my skinny friend ate her whole portion and was still hungry. I don't recommend.

Hot Wok is good. It is take out only. There is no dining room, no tables, just the counter and the staff working beyond. It is a typical Chinese menu and food. We got spring rolls and egg rolls, both were hot and good. I got General 's Chicken. It was well done, not the best I've ever had though. It is spicy. ? My other half got beef & broccoli & loved it. It was quick and easy to order online and go pick it up. We will eat there again. ?

I've only written about three or four reviews in my life. I'm just not the type to meet people into hot wok in Metairie qualifies for me to take just a minute and see how unusually great it is. The food is delicious fast affordable and fresh. The shrimp are local and large not the typical thing you get the sauces are delicious the vegetables are fresh. Your order is always ready in about 10 minutes and it's affordable when I walk in and give the cook a big smile - he smiles back It's that kind of place, obviously family run. They care about what they're doing and they're good at it. Nuff said. Oh one more thing when you ask for a dish to be spicy they trust you and it actually is spicy

I get it Yelpers this is a neighborhood spot with cheap prices and big portions.I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant with authentic good tasting food. Sad to say I am still looking.I ordered a variety of food and nothing stood out or made me say to myself.... Damn that's good.I'm trying not to be to critical of The Hot Wok so I will keep it short.Let me know what your experience has been fellow Yelpers and Foodies.So let it be written....
