Joe's Cafe & Donuts & King Cakes

The food is good and the staff is nice! The problem is they have the waitresses serving dine in customers, handling donut to go customers and door dash orders. They were so busy the staff couldn't help any customer very well, because they had to bounce back and forth between tasks. The dine in area was full and they had a line of 10-15 people waiting for donuts the whole time we were there and people were getting really frustrated with wait times. Honestly they should shut down door dash orders during their busiest times, especially Sunday mornings. I'm sure the owners would be far too greedy to do that though.

The glazed beignets are EVERYTHING!!

This is a great breakfast place with really good donuts. I really enjoy the breakfast quesadilla. They also have good coffee. We also tried the deep fried king cake. It's tastes like a big donut with really sweet icing.

Best donuts!! I haven't had any of the plate meals, but some of the patrons were telling out of towners how good the food is. I went on Lundi Gras morning so it was really busy but had a good vibe going on. Nobody was fussing or super impatient. The staff worked their butts off. I'll definitely be going back.

Joe's definitely upped their game. Great service, food and donuts.

Got delicious, fresh-baked donuts from an attentive, sweet, gorgeous waitress. Will happily be back. Nothing beats their PB&J donuts 🍩

I was at the Rousses on Drusilla in Baton Rouge looking for a king cake. I found this amazing king cake that I didn't recognize and thought I would share it with my coworkers. OMG!!! BEST KING CAKE EVER!!! it was pecan praline fried doughnut and simply amazing.

I highly recommend that you purchase one because you don't want to miss the experience.

The apple fritter was as big as my head and weighed at least a pound! Big chunks of apples and the glaze was just right; not too sweet. The server was friendly and the place was very clean. Def be back to try the beignets! They have traditional powdered sugar, glazed, and cinnamon sugar. Yum!
