ZERO VIBES. You walk in to a quiet, dark, grim room without music. No chatter. Saddest vibes ever. The food is expensive and they only have beer and wine. The service is good and the chocolates were the best part. It’s a ONE & DONE.

If you like sushi you're going to love this place. Highly recommend the Godzilla or the spider roll!

high quality seafood w/ incredible variety for a good price.
their nigiri sushis are quite large (2x the size of other sushi restaurants) so we eat them in two bites, which feels a bit weird. but their fish is usually very fresh, high quality, and there are so many options to choose from.
i especially recommend the yellowtail, japanese scallop, albacore tuna, and eel nigiri sushis. i also love their salmon skin roll (much simpler than their other rolls and very delicious). sometimes they get really good uni.
there’s no going wrong here, and they also have a large list of very inventive rolls and apps.

Solid, solid sushi. Very inventive rolls. It’s tiny but the service is pretty fast. The damn chocolate cubes they give as a dessert are freakin’ addictive!!

1. Literally worst tasting sashimi I've ever had. Did not taste fresh. Wagu beef also disappointing. I've had better sushi for 10$ back in Canada or like 5$ in Japan. On top of tasting like bad fish, temperature and texture is not correct and the fish was served together on the same plate so the vinegar flavor sauce added to one of the fish mixed with all the other fish. Gross.
2. The chefs were having a loud conversation the whole time and really ruined the already unpleasant meal. Super annoying.
3. Spent 66$ on 1 person. If its good food that is fine but this wasnt.

Vegetable croquette was good.
Waitress was nice so the second star is for sympathy only.

Im not local so I dont know where is good in NOLA for Japanese food but what I can say is Shogun down the street is way more worth it than this.

I can't understand why the reviews are so high.

本当に美味しくないよ!

Great little find! I had the Tiki Roll, Kush Roll, and Shumai appetizer. Everything tasted great and the service was phenomenal. The whole staff were friendly. Will definitely return!

Great service. One of the three servers at my table even suggested the order for the next time. Cozy and small dark wooden atmosphere. On special, fresh from Japan, grade A Uni. I wonder almost whether I’m supposed to tell everyone about this place.

We didn't have the greatest experience on our parents night out. 100% regretted going here.
Our food was Forgotten to be put in twice and also $5.50 can soda served as free refills but for sure NOT also $2.00 up charge on a roll because we asked for no rice. Food was flavorless.
Overall not a good experience !!!
