We enjoyed Mr. Ed's. Catfish was fried perfectly and the veal was tasty and tender. Great service.

This was my first time at Mr Ed's in Bucktown. Fortunately we arrived before the dinner crowd and were able to get a table right away. By the time we left the place was getting packed. Our waitress was a little distracted, even before the crowds came so don't know what that was about but we all have a bad day.I ordered the stuffed bell peppers and although they weren't huge in size... man were they stuffed to the gills with tasty seafood. These were not stuffed peppers mostly with breading.Definitely plan on stopping again next time I'm in New Orleans to try their chicken liver dinners, one of my favorites and very hard to find.

We had a most enjoyable visit to Mr. Ed's on Live Oak. Our server Michael could not have been more accommodating. His knowledge of the extended menu and food prep was spot on. Our food was served hot delicious and highly palatable. You won't go wrong here!

We normally go to the mid city or French quarter one so we decided to try the "original" one. This was truly disappointing. First, they don't have fresh oysters which every location does, the salad was a bag mix and consisted of a handful of lettuce with a grape tomato and cucumber sliced tossed on top. The trout almandine was good, but the potatoes were very bland. Hubby got the oyster po-boy and there was barely any oysters in it. Sandwich looked huge until he looked inside. Won't be back

Great place and amazing food. Waiter was amazing. However, it felt like my friend and I stepped back in the 50’s. So much porcelain made her uncomfortable. Thank goodness our waiter made us fill less awkward.

The best locals place! Fried chicken, crab cakes and potato salad are excellent. Stuffed peppers or mirletons are a classic. Always friendly.
