Went to the farmers market and I asked about the Boudin rolls and the owner informed me they didn’t sell them but he asked me to try the seafood egg roll. OMFG it was so good. My friends came up and he also gave them the seafood eggroll and for the ones that don’t eat seafood he gave them the Philly cheesesteak. The owner was very pleasant to talk too. I highly recommend trying him out.

I’ve previously enjoyed this establishment and been meaning to come back. I was finally in the area and chose to dine in alone and order food for my family to take with me. The lunch special I wanted was sold out (Turkey wings). I then chose the shrimp & catfish plate instead plus the seafood egg rolls, mac n cheese, and a separate lunch special for my family. After my order was reviewed by the cashier, I kindly requested that my fish be fried hard. I like a crunchy outside and soft inside. The male cook has made his way to the front counter as I was making the request and paying for my food. This is when things took a bit of a turn. He said “You’ll get your fish, how I cook it.” I was taken aback at the comment, but took it for a not-so- funny joke. I responded with “ If hard is the way you cook it, then yes that’s fine, but I want it fried hard.” He walked back to the kitchen. I paid for my food, sat down, and waited. Food was ready and before I sit down and check it, I was called back up because I was attorney given the wrong order. It was checked by the cashier and cook, then they walked away and I had to wait to get my order back. I sat down and checked it all. I noticed that everything was correct EXCEPT MY FISH WAS FRIED SOFT!!!! I was in a bit of a hurry, crunched for time, and hadn’t eaten in several hours. I went ahead and ate my food because I didn’t have time to get it corrected after all the time I spent getting it. I was going to just let them know before I left that I was unsatisfied and would not be returning due to the service provided. Well, when I threw my trash away and was gathering my things to head to the counter to speak to them, I overheard them discussing me! I overheard the cashier ask if the cook prepared my fish hard. He said no. Then I heard “I see she ate then.” which was said mockingly. Since I overheard it and other customers did as well. I chose to respond openly instead of discreetly. I told them that my fish was NOT FRIED HARD and the only reason I ate it was because I was starving from an appointment If been at since breakfast. THE COOK DELIBERATELY PREPARED MY FOOD HOW HE WANTED AND NOT HOW I REQUESTED IT!! UNACCEPTABLE!! FOR HIM TO MAKE THE RUDE STATEMENT TO ME THAT HE DID WAS EQUALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I spent my hard earned money there on multiple occasions for my family and I, plus I’ve recommended this place to others over the last year! I like the owner, but she wasn’t there today and her employees don’t value customers like she does. Today was my last visit and my family has been made aware of my mistreatment. We will NOT be returning.

They have hot prepared food that's perfect for lunch time. The food is delicious. Went back and got a bell pepper and fried chicken. Unfortunately the bell pepper had grizzle like the top of chicken.

I ate here for the first time today, and I will definitely be back again tomorrow. Immediately when I walked in, the aroma of delicious home cooked food hit my nose and I was greeted with a "Hey, my baby". It was at that moment I knew they had a customer for life. The food, the vibes, and the atmosphere was everything!!!!!!

HOLY!!! sweet baby Jesus, this is my kind of comfort food turned up to 11. Got the turkey wings and rice, greens and the mac & cheese and they throw a fat slab of cornbread on top for free. Also, I would put this pot liquor in my morning coffee.☺️ ?

I just came in from a flight and was looking for some great NOLA grub. The shrimp sandwich was made to order, to my spice level which was amazing. I was also given dirty rice to try which had such a good flavor. The owners and staff are amazing humans and I’d love to come back here in the future.
