Normally order to pick up instead of eating there and food is decent with good service. Small place so probably not good for big groups/large parties.

First time trying, came an hour before their closing time which may explain the reason for the cold macaroni and shrimp tasting like old grease. Won’t be back any time soon.

I was looking for a place on Veterans Blvd. that served a good Po-Boy! I found one at Sammy's PoBoys! The also have all you can eat catfish on Friday and Saturday! The food is good and the service is very friendly! Everyone should try this place. Tell them Mike Myers sent you! The picture is just half of my PoBoys, I was to hungry to take a picture of the whole thing. You can see it is over stuffed!

This place sucks. They have a sign on the window that says no outside food or drink. So my son had to eat his happy meal in the car while we waited for the food and we had to order to go because my son is a slow eater and they don't allow outside food or drink. I think they should make exceptions for children. I spent well over $50 bucks and would of left a tip, but not on a to go order. Is a kids meal really worth screwing over your staff SAMMY?... I will update the post once I taste this overpriced food.

Just had the all you can eat Catfish special, they put enough fish on your plate you have enough to take home. Also, best sweet potato fries I ever had!!!!

Had shrimp and oyster poboys that were both great. Food was served hot and fast on great french bread.

Time to cross this place off my list. Myself and a friend from out of town stopped here this evening for a quick dinner before going out. Placed the order, onion rings came out within 5 minutes, then crickets for the next half hour. My friend got the chicken parmesan poboy with no gravy, and I never got my sandwich to eat while it was hot, instead it was packed to go. 2 folks in the kitchen doing nothing, one of them sauntered out to refill their drink who the heck does that during evening restaurant hours. One person cooking and nothing but attitude. The woman at the register told us, I can't do anything about it, not my fault. She also said the 2 do-nothing in the kitchen were just there to pickup their checks. My friend asked for the email of the owner of the business to contact her about the issues and was told she doesn't have email - really? Someone using the no email excuse in 2019? So now here is the review for all to see. Horrible food with a bad attitude yeah, take a hard pass...

My favorite roast beef poor boy is made at Sammy's. I've tried roast beef poor boys everywhere, and Sammy's my favorite! Ordered dressed and with extra pickels! Sooo good!

Was looking for a great poboy and boy did I find it. I had the roast beef poboy with gravy (excellent) and my wife had the fried shrimp poboy which had very large shrimp seasoned to perfection. Will be back when I pass through the new Orleans area. Jim Albany Louisiana

Anyplace other than New Orleans this place would be considered good. In New Orleans not so much. The Roast Beef Poboy was dry, yes that is what I said a dry New Orleans Roast Beef Poboy. In fact I am now going to take a star away and leave it at 2 stars. Potato Salad was mushy, all in all I'll never go back to this place.

Inconsistent, for a while the sandwiches were always good and the quality consistent. The last three times not so much. My catfish poboy tonight was swimming in mayonnaise. It was gross and slimy. Last time my order was wrong. time before that, the bread was so toasted it completely crumbled so I couldn't eat it as a sandwich. What's up? Going to have to find another sandwich place.

Always excellent Poboys. Had to send back the real cutlet sandwich. It was hard and dry.
