I moved back to Metairie from Philadelphia two years ago and had been wanting to try Sandros since and I finally got the chance for my birthday this past week and they exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back

Went at opening, place was packed and all the tables were on top of each other. The tables were so close I could have easily eaten off the table next to us. Wait staff was rude when we started we didn't have a reservation. The hostess stated I guess you can sit at "that table" we'll get to you when we can. Reminder we arrived 4 minutes after their opening hour. The service was so bad we just walked out without having a server approach us. Do not recommend, Gendusa's is a better Italian place to get high quality food.

It's not often this happens, but it was a bad experience overall and will never be back. The pasta seemed as if it was cooked yesterday and was just heated up in a pan with extra oil. Very disappointing considering that this was suppose to be an authentic Italian restaurant. The service was not great either. Not only were the staff rude, but come to find out they didn't like the fact that two friend in our party were a same sex couple. It's laughable that this is still a thing to frown upon in 2024. The ambiance was alright, but a very small place. Unfortunately, this place is just another example of why Metairie needs to catch up with the real world.

We eat at this restaurant several times a year and always enjoy it. My review is based on the roasted chicken Apple walnut salad. I have always wanted to try it so this was the day. Menu states that it has roasted chicken, apples, and walnuts served on top of house salad. I have had the house salad on many occasions and it is served with RED onions thinly sliced. My salad came to me loaded with large and small chunks of white onion and NO apples. I do not eat raw onions and they were everywhere. I asked the waitress if maybe there was a mistake between the apple and the onion and she said that is how it is served. It says no where in the description that it also adds raw white onion chunks in addition to the sliced red onions. Plus there were no apples. I could not eat it and had her pack it to go. Unfortunately the entire salad went into the trash the next day. I did not ask her to take it back because she said that is how it comes. Has anyone else had the Apple Walnut salad with onion chunks added? It was so very disappointing and a waste of money for sure. The other food has always been very good but this time, not so much.
