My go to place for sushi, Udon anything, chicken oyakodon, salmon box are some of my favorite. Reasonably priced. Always fresh. Look for their specials. Never had one bad tasting item in the many years I've eaten there. Owner and staff greet you like long time friends. Unlimited hot green tea. Highly recommended.

Starting off they don't have sweet tea. Truly don't understand how in south Louisiana sweet tea is not an option. Chef didt put on a show at all. Very nice but no show I mean nothing, no chooo choo no volcano not a thing .The food taste is the exact same as other hibachi options. The price is THROUGH THE ROOF! Def not worth the extra expense Final thought, over priced

We ate at Shogun last night for my birthday, and we had a really nice time. The atmosphere of the restaurant, the quality of the food and the amount of portion for each dish was very generous. The hostess greeted us when we arrived, and seated us immediately. Our waiter was excellent as well. Highly recommend this restaurant! Shogun is a staple in Metairie everyone should try once!

THE best Japanese food in the area. For lunch or dinner, it's fantastic. They have a great, and very large, selection of delicious fresh sushi and the hibachi is so good. I love the hibachi salmon and chicken. Yummy!

3.89 Everything else was delicious I love all the different options. I wish the menu had more descriptions so I know more about what I'm ordering instead of trying to have the menu explained to me by the waitress. However the food was great. Would absolutely go back and try different things. The tuna shogun style was my favorite!

This has been my go-to Japanese restaurant for 25+ years. The service is always fast and the staff is nice and attentive but also not overbearingly attentive. It gets busy but the place just has a homey feel to it for me. The hibachi and sushi/nigiri are all fabulous. What I'm really coming for though is a quick Yakitori lunch under $15. Great value for what you get. I love popping here for a solo lunch just to have a moment to myself during the day or even a little lunch date is nice here. There is hustle and bustle but you can still easily have a conversation.
