Found this little restaurant in Metairie and it was great. Small, old school restaurant with the greatest Roast Beef Po-Boys in GNO. There I said it prove me wrong. The way a New Orleans Style Roast Beef Po-Boys is supposed to taste. They also have a great deal on box fried chicken to go that reminds me of the Old McKenzie's Chicken in a box out in Gentilly neighborhood in New Orleans. I've also had their Potato Salad that was fresh and tasty. I hope this helps out anybody looking for good food at really reasonable prices. Cheap compared to other places. They open 11am til 3pm Tu-Sat with an after hours menu till 6pm for take out orders. Enjoy.

Judy was so nice and friendly. Food was good but the place looks like a finished basement from the 50

Off the main thoroughfare of Airline Dr, this lil d time restaurant offers an array of menu options. The service is impeccable. Was very friendly and informative. One server handled the entire restaurant and attended to everyone's needs promptly. Inside brings you back to eating out in the 70s. The old time jukebox is a nice touch as well.

PLEASE season your chicken! I would rate lower if this wasn't a family-run business but I hate to do that to small businesses. But it just isn't fair to have unseasoned chicken with zero flavor whatsoever. C'mon now, this is New Orleans! The service was good and the atmosphere was actually pretty nice. But the food could use major improvement. Bread wasn't very fresh. Please try harder.

I love this down home hole in the wall.. it's a get what you get kind of place. They're stuffed fish and chicken livers are always on point, but this visit everything was a bit undercooked. The seafood gumbo also had no flavor. Service was great, though. I'll still be back.. just no gumbo for me.

Excellent meal, nice quantities, a wide selection, and low-key service. We're coming back.

This establishment's atmosphere was fantastic. It was like going back in time to the 1950s and 1960s. Really Excellent.

Good to have a place around the neighborhood with some decent gumbo. Their Turkey and Sausage Gumbo is always good. Most places just do a seafood gumbo, but it's nice to find a place that makes the kind of gumbo that my mom always made!

This was so much fun I would likely come back to see the dark wood paneling and hear the waitress shout across the dining room she had a fresh pot of coffee on. Its like walking in to a time capsule from 1969.Then there is the food. Its good, hot, home made, served quickly and reasonably priced. I could not possibly recommend this experience more highly…\LOVED it!!!

The chicken livers were very good. Just the way I remembered them.
