We decided to try the deep dish pizza here while running some errands in the area. We got a 7in veggie (it takes 45 minutes and you can pre-order) so we asked the waitress if we could go run another errand and come back. No problem! We returned about 20 minutes later to our table as we left it. The pizza was yummy and SO FILLING. Do not underestimate the size! We also ordered the gumbo, it was thick and delicious, and the sweet potato fries, crispy and not floppy like most establishment. The staff was wonderful and packed up our left overs. She even gave us some cookies before we left! Lovely place and we will return!

1- The dough is cardboard, dry disgusting, no flavor, no texture. They know NOTHING about pizza dough. 2- cheese tastes like VEGAN CHEESE. This was NOT mozzarella nor pizza cheese, it was like processed fake vegan OR kraft white singles. NOT CHEESE!!! 3- sauce was TERRIBLE. Super tangy. Worst sauce e I've had. Gross. I have no idea what kind of goofy doofy lunatics with missing palletes gave this place 4.5 stars

My husband, 3 year old, and I visited That’s Amore for the first time. We’ve been searching for a true Chicago deep dish locally for a few years. This place was absolutely delicious and the staff were so wonderful. Our waitress was an absolute angel. Truly felt like a family owned pizzeria. Well will absolutely be back!

Twice on Sunday I have had the opportunity to go to That’s Amore Pizza, thanks to my friend and boss Gary. The Chicago Style is my favorite. We order the “meat lovers” specialty. The pizza is tasty as in, you can taste the smoke on the ham, the pepper/greasy flavor of the pepperoni, etc. and the sauce is sweet and hearty. The first time the staff did seem a bit sluggish, however today was great and from the hostess to the back of the house seemed to operate effectively, refills when they saw we needed them and the food came out hot and on time. The place has plenty of tables, a bar, an in store ice cream center and a lot of televisions. The one thing I would change is to have one of those televisions have a child’s program in it as a lot of families are in there apparently on Sunday. Over all this is a great and affordable place to grab a pizza and eat with family and friends. Thank you for the local pizza place without the corporation store feel.

Good food, horrible service. Servers wouldn’t come to our table and would only help tables nearby to us. We understand the food takes a while to come out but nobody came up to us for 15-20 minutes till I called one of them for a menu. Servers would avoid our table or making contact till I asked the older nice lady for a to go box and check, that’s when the other servers decided to talk to us. Was there since 6:20 and got our food nearly at 8.

I hate giving bad reviews. New York style pizza it isn't though. the crust is very dry, think saltine cracker just much thicker. it is more of a crumble crust, fold the shove and it doesn't bend but cracks. at least for the 10 inch. maybe the larger slices are better. maybe the Chicago style is better. I didn't know. but the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. and I do hope that other menu items are better

We ordered pizza from here a couple of years ago, and it was descent pizza. We recently ordered (June, 2024) two 16'' specialty pizzas, and OMG! they should not be called pizzas! They were horrible, the dough was so hard cardboard like. the toppings were good, but with such awful dough, the pizza is ruined.
It was so sad, we threw away 90% of the pizza, and we never waste food like this!
Not sure if it was change in ownership but you need to do better. You cannot sell a pizza with a dough that is like cardboard. The texture looked like the already made dough from the store.
