Absolutely a gem. Had no idea about this place, yet they have been a staple at Jazz Fest since 1977! We started with alligator bites but forgot to take a photo. It's 6 to a plate, and they were delicious, kind of like a crab dressing but made with alligator meat. Then we had salads while waiting for our meals. He had soft shell crabs with corn grits, and I had crawfish bisque. Oooo wee, someone's grandma is cooking it up in that kitchen! We had leftovers for the next...
Grilled redfish and Mac and cheese were very good! Onion rings were great! Wish our waiter would have highlighted their specials. Learned about them after placing order. My friend pointed in out.
The food was excellent. I got trout almondine, my sister got sea bass and our Dad got soft shell crab special. All delicious. Prices are high but so is price of seafood. They also add the 3% credit card charge that so many places are doing now. Definitely a place to go for a treat
