LOVE this place!! The food, service, and atmosphere are all great! Definitely try ALL of the desserts! The cakes are incredible. Super friendly staff, the guy at the counter is always so kind! My favorite deli in the city!!

I have patronized World Deli for years for in house meals and to go. I have also depended on them for catering for special events and holiday. They have never failed to supply fresh, delicious food in a timely manner. One of my favorites is the ham dressed on po-boy bread with a side order of their wonderful potato salad. The restaurant is immaculate and the employees are friendly and hard working. I highly recommend it.

For 25 years I've gone to world deli. Sister worked on Shoes Dr and we would meet for lunch. For 25 years I've gotten the same sandwich. A poboy with corn beef and pastrami and provolone cheese plain. Today I went there just as I did 2 weeks ago and ordered my sandwich. The guy taking my order said he was the manager and they don't do that. Well you did 2 weeks ago and that's what I always get. He said well I don't know who does that for you but we don't do that. Ok well I will pass. Never had an issue in 25 years. As a matter of fact the first time I ever went the manager at the time said I should put them on one sandwich since I couldn't decide which one I wanted. I've been eating it like that ever since. I won't be back. It's super simple to put half the amount of each meat on 1 sandwich. I'm in food services myself. I know how super simple it is. Especially since we were there only customers there.

I ordered the roast beef poor boy with ham and Swiss cheese to go. I also purchased a frozen entree and $5.99 dessert. Total: $31.09. When I got home I discovered that they had made a regular roast beef poor boy. It was past 3:00pm and needed to eat. Not wanting to eat a cold sandwich I went ahead and ate what they sold me. It was nearly 3:30pm and I called World Deli to alert them of their mistake. I asked for the difference in price to be given as a credit for my next visit. The employee informed me they don't do credits and I could bring the sandwich back. (Impossible since I had already eaten it!) I am a 72 year old retired teacher and not used to being doubted. I wonder if the loss of future business was worth it to this restaurant.I won't be back!!

They have everything from fast food to full meals and they prepare meals and put them in the freezer for you to have ready when you don't feel like cooking or going out. Things like the Lasagna, ravioli, stuffed shells. They have dips,, they have catering for parties. There club sandwiches great and stuffed. They also have tons of candy homemade.
Stopped by to get a muffalata to take on the plane. It was so tasty and the service was quick. Will do again when next in NOLA.

This was our first visit to World Deli. When I was looking for a place for lunch, I was intrigued by this place. Looking at the menu and getting a local recommendation cinched it for me. My wife and I stopped by yesterday and it was awesome. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. I saw one review that said the Rueben sandwich was the best around and it's no lie! Lots of meat, cheese and sauerkraut piled high on delicious toasted rye bread. And my wife ordered the muffuletta and it was the best she's ever tasted! Once again lots of meat, cheese and olive salad piled high on a whole loaf of Italian bread. She only ate one wedge for lunch so we were able to take the rest home to enjoy for dinner. Do yourself a favor. If you're a fan a great deli sandwiches, you'll really enjoy a trip to World Deli. Find any excuse to go, you won't be disappointed!

Poboys are amazing! They also have frozen meals that they make in house. The dessert selection is outstanding. My only complaint is that they only have 4 parking spots.

It has one of the best roast beef sandwiches in Metairie! Plate lunches, entre' salads, and a frozen case with soups, gumbo, Italian entre's, red & white beans to take out. Very good.
